Anyone want to make me an offer for a brand new OZSOME 20g turbo ? never fitted .
I'll post photos if required.

I've also got a brand new polished intake pipe and blue KnN style filter for it.

Based on your advice - 400bhp if far too much for the old girl, i think the mide to high 200's will be fine.

Good to see another turbo bus, keep up the good work

If you've got the funds go for 400 brake, that'll be one zebra the lion pack won't catch ...

Ok so the turbo bus is now underway. I have a question regarding the coil pack with red spark plug leads or the coil Packs which bolt directly to the heads and directly attach to the plugs ie no spark plug lead.

Which one is best ? My current engine is running a single coil pack with red HT leads shall i just use this ? The turbo motor came with x4 bold on coil packs so which one shall i use ?

Neither

Use the wiring harnesses from the early version individually bolted coilpacks and use newage coilpacks. Classic coils are known to be problematic and newage are a lot more reliable.

I've got the Zen version that I'm running on a v6 car...buying just the loom and then pick up some Newage coil packs second hand makes it far less cost prohibitive.

Slightly off topic, but what gearbox are you using?

I've got a Hillman Imp with a 12a rotary engine, I'm using a Type2 gearbox but it doesn't like life much.

It's a 4 speed beetle IRS AT coded Gbox which was sent to COGBOX in London who strengthened it, welded gears, super diff, solid side plates, steel selector, courser gears and the ratio for 4th was changed for better cruising....I asked him to build for 250BHP when I asked so it should be good for that at least.

There is a company in Oz who are called Subarugears, they have taken a Subaru 4WD Gbox and flipped the diff and converted it to 2WD and 5 speed so if I have any probs I will probably knock on their door - big bucks though !

Chaps a fuel pump question........

I have a sytec external motorsport pump fitted at the moment which i got from merlin motorsport which flows about 180lph, it works fine and i have no issues with the NA engine but will this be good enough for the 300bhp power i'm looking at or....
I have a bosch 044 pump which i could fit just to make sure.....but what is the std flow rate of the std engine ? Anyone know?

An update on this after buying them............Emerald K3 ECU is not compatible with the three pin coil packs as the Emerald has its own built in amplifier it will not drive them.....

Yes loads of progress, i'll post photos towards the weekend.
Basically the vans done, i settled for 261bhp at the wheels, i tried to stop the tuning at 250bhp but he got a bit carried away.
Now i hear you saying "is that all" but remember the van should only have 30bhp ! So that 231 bhp more than it should have and only 0.9bar boost !

I had to take the engine out again to change the sintered clutch for a more drivable solution and also i found the turbo leaking loads of oil inside the turbine housing...top tip don't use Taiwan rebuild kits ! Anyway its all done and have completed 300 miles so far.......i love it and its a straight line rocket ship.

It running Emerald and ford cossie coil pack and custom ht leads...as you see it above.
