OK, whoever commented earlier in the thread that the guy moved from Iraq in the 1970s, check your facts before posting!

"Mr al-Hilli fled to Britain in 2002 with his parents who “were forced to leave Iraq by the Saddam regime”, according to the couple’s neighbours."

From another source. (The Independent)
James, whose daughter went to playgroup with Mr Al-Hilli's youngest child and who used to dine with the family regularly, said Mr Al-Hilli worked as a freelance computer-aided design engineer and had first come to the UK in the 1970s after the family business was seized by the Baath Party.

News reports advised he had come to Britain with his parents aged 6.

This morning UK police are keen to speak to his brother.

Possible family dispute ?, the family house in Claygate was his parents who both died in the last few years.

"The French authorities said the killings appeared to have been carried out by a professional hitman because of the accuracy of the gunshots.
.....
More information also emerged about the quadruple murder this morning, revealing Mr al-Hilli, his wife and mother-in-law were all killed with two bullets each, indicating the work of a marksman.

Iraqi-born engineer Mr al-Hilli was shot first in the forehead before a second "coup de grace" shot was aimed to ensure he was dead."
Looking unlikely to be the deeds of some ramdom nutter.

I don't believe for one second it was a random nutter, this was a professional hit done by someone who obviously prides themselves on the savegery of their 'work'. To beat a 7 year old girl enough to give her multiple skull fractures as well as shoot her is the work of of a severely deranged individual who obviously doesn't differentiate between assasination of an adult or the brutal beating of a child.

I think he was seen by the cyclist in the midst of the beating of the child, turned his attentions to the cyclist before he had finished her off. He killed the witness cyclist and fled the scene leaving the girl for dead but she survived thanks to the second cyclist who turned up moments later.

The armed guards protecting the 2 children in hospital would also indicate the French police suspect a professional job where surviving witnesses may be revisited to clear up.

I maybe wide of the mark but that's how it appears to me.

Also the Gendarmerie didn't flood the area with tracker dogs and helicopters etc. implying that there was no random nutter hiding in the woods to find.

Execution of whole family because they knew the killer, or someone with the killer and could identify them? Who would know that they were going to France to be able to arrange a 'hit'

The killer(s) must have been tracking the family and that probably gives the best chance of identifying them.

Looking at the position of the car, righ up against the bank with the rear wheels have dug into the earth, as well as a lot of dirt around the rear wheel arch it wouldn't suprise me if he tried to get away but in his haste slammed it into reverse

In todays world i think its important to have an open mind about things,in incidents such as this anyhow. You have to look under every rock until you find the answer.
Do you really believe that this could not happen, and could only happen in a film.

So how many people were in the car? Mum, dad mother in law and 2 kids? Or was there more... I ask as cars only carry 5 people.

Also, will a 4yr old remember details? I mean does the sniper have anything to worry about.

When I was 4 all I remembered doing was sucking my thumb

Who knows what the real facts are. Even the French police seem confused over things like how many casings, where they were shot, etc.

Mis-information

yes I noticed that in your first post, interesting if true (no reason to doubt you btw)

reproduced below for the idiots on here

Welcome to the website of the Defence Advisory (DA) Notice system.

The Defence, Press and Broadcasting Advisory Committee (DPBAC) oversees a voluntary code which operates between the UK Government departments which have responsibilities for national security and the media. It uses the Defence Advisory (DA)-Notice System as its vehicle. The objective of the DA-Notice System is to prevent inadvertent public disclosure of information that would compromise UK military and intelligence operations and methods, or put at risk the safety of those involved in such operations, or lead to attacks that would damage the critical national infrastructure and/or endanger lives.

so some speculation regarding the murky world of the various secret services, is to some extent understandable.

Taken from another site:
Jut copied this from the Craig Murray Blog

http://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archiv...ance/#comments
************************************************
I copied the few commments on the indymedia site, earlier, just after the DA-notice comment from ‘Manchester based Journalist’, but not including the comment of 15:12 quoted by Anon here, concerning General Yossi Ben Hanan (chief of defence at Paris Israeli embassy) picking up three unknown others in helicopter at Chambrey Airport (close to the scene).

His company

06.09.2012 13:36
He was set up by Mi6 in 2007 in a front company called AMS1087 which did aircraft based photography. They were based at the Delta office park in Wiltshire which is built on part of the old ‘Turnstile’ nuclear Command and Control bunker and is still owned by the MoD. He was loaned RAF trainer aircraft at no cost to help him get established as well as pilots and because of these advantages his company originally thrived however once he started to visit Iran in late 2010 he lost a lot of (MoD supplied) private contracts and the business almost collapsed.

It is interesting that they let him wander around France with no protection even though they knew he was an Israeli “sikul memukad” or high profile target. A deserted country road would have been ideal for the Israeli kill team sent after him.

Looks like he either outlived his usefulness or went ‘rogue’

Watching
The cyclist who found the body was an RAF airman !!!

06.09.2012 13:48
What an amazing coincidence that the first person on the scene was a member of the RAF Regiment (the Air Force army branch) who just had to be passing on his bike !!!

British Embassy sends twenty person team to crime scene

06.09.2012 14:05
In an unprecedented action the British Embassy in Paris has sent a twenty person team to the crime scene headed by Kara Owen the deputy British ambassador. According to local TV station ‘Demain’ people describe the British Embassy staff as being “military type”.

There is developing a cover up of massive proportions to protect Israel.

Remember this day
Looks like they were attempting to run

06.09.2012 14:27
The local police (before they were shut up) said that the family had multiple passports including British, Iraqi, Swedish and UAE. It seems they were travelling cross country perhaps back to Iraq where they would feel safe .

Drudge
Defence Advisory Notice is in effect here

06.09.2012 14:41
Today at 0750 we received information that a Defence Advisory Notice or ‘D Notice’ was in effect with regard to certain facts about this story.

No mention of his links to the Security Services
No mention of his links to Iran
No mention of his links to nuclear weapons research
No speculation regarding Israel involvement in the killing

The only place you are going to read about the real facts of this story are on sites like Indymedia.

Manchester based Journalist
************************************************** *

So there's been an official DA-Notice telling the media not to mention the above in bold.

Looks increasingly like it was an execution becuase of the stuff involving the usual suspects

According to latest French news reports, there were nearer 25 cartridge casings found, which would probably point to multiple weapons (and killers). Also, early indications suggest they were 7.65mm, not 9mm, which would be unusual.

Common for an ordinary handgun, but supposedly much less so for a machine-pistol, which would fit a lot better with the 2 dozen shell casings that were found.

I'm no expert on these things btw, just commenting on what's buzzing around in the French media.

As ever with such an occurrence it is a waste of time to speculate about something that we have no positive knowledge about. It is a very unusual killing so there must be some deep reason somewhere that none of us can effectively guess at.

It seems very irresponsible of the press to publish details about the ex RAF man who offered information about what he saw. I would think it would be pretty easy to locate him and eliminate him if the murderers felt that was necessary.

I can't verify it but I did read elsewhere that the cyclist that was shot dead was a nuclear engineer.

If that is the case, and if he had any links whatsoever to the Iranian nuclear programme then I'm sure Mossad would have been very interested in him (just like various other nuclear engineers who have been linked to Iran and have now been 'eliminated')

Perhaps he was the target afterall and the family were the innocent witnesses?
