I'm not convinced it was a professional hit. My money is on them all being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Either a nutter with a gun and a full mag or they all stumbled on something dodgy going on.

15 shells found and 4 people dead. Doesn't seem very professional to me and leaving two people alive.

Well said Boro.
I'm also confuse with the Iraqi / Swedish connection? All very odd indeed.

I'm shocked the 4yr old girl was left in the car for 8hrs going un-noticed.

And how did they know the other occupants were dead if they didn't open the car doors?

I read somewhere the glass was intact and that the police peered through the bullet holes to see into the car. They didn't want to open the doors incase the glass caved in. Which maybe suggests the car was tinted and the film was keeping the glass in place?

I thought the cyclist who came across them broke the glass on the car?

From the BBC news page...

He then discovered the other cyclist, who had overtaken him earlier, dead on the road. He broke the driver's window of the car, and saw three bodies inside.

yeah of course different pistols have different magazine capacities, mine being anywhere from 10 to 20 rounds, depending on ammo used. you cant speculate what pistol was used from the info the public have been given.

to suggest Mossad is a bit naive, why would the Israeli government be involved? and Mossad arent renowned for messing up jobs, but hey everyone is human.

Lots of strange aspects to this... I thought I heard that the family had been reported missing from their campsite since the day before, yet the English guy on the bike came across the scene less than 10 minutes after the shootings took place??

Also the company that the victim is involved with seems a little odd.... no references to it or adverts for it anywhere on the internet other than its registration with companies house.
( The CIA are well known for setting up supposedly legit civilian companies, which are just a front, they then use them for their various nefarious and 'unaccountable' activities.)

As others have mentioned I cant help thinking that either British secret service or Mossad could have a hand in this...

I think both organisations are bright enough to be able to take him out when he was alone at any given time and not have to slay his family as well, if that was the case.

Interesting that one of his neighbours made a comment on 5Live earlier today saying something the deceased mentioned before they went on holiday now had great relevance and he would be passing it on to police.

I don't believe any of this Mossad or secret service stuff. The shooting and beating leaving a 7 year old girl with a fractured skull and multiple gun shots I wouldn't associate with Government organisations. As suggested such organisations wouldn't involve so many 3rd parties in a job.

It still seems to me like a business related revenge attack possibly tied to his Iraqi past. I just hope they catch the sick ***** and bring them to justice. I doubt they are still in France though.

I don't think anyone was trying to guess the murder weapon. Just speculating that it could have been a handgun that ran out of ammo, hence the beating if one shot didn't kill her.

It's been reported as a fully automatic weapon which suggests whoever pull the trigger was pretty accurate. 15rds from a full-auto doesn't take long.

Was the 4yr old left alone and the 7yr old only wounded deliberately?

This really shook me when I heard. My son is 4 and he's beside himself if you cut your finger. I just can't begin to imagine what the poor kid went through. Hopefully her sister makes a recovery so at least she'll have someone left.

Iranian scientists have been killed by Mossad. I doubt that theyd sink to this level though. They cant risk being likened to terrorists and killing the children seems to be very different to their usual modus operandi.

Slightly mystified as to why so many are playing up the intelligence services angle here, if the guy packed his bags from Iraq several decades ago.

This has all the signs of random-nutter-with-gun, to me.

Turns out the guy has been 'known' to the British intelligence services for 20 years since he left Iraq (doesnt elaborate whether he was known as a threat or under the protection of intelligence services)?

He was also had close links to several companies that were/are involved in the development of military and satelite technology.
