Hey guys, completley forgot to update this thread after getting my wheels done.
I had them powder coated in a candy bronze colour after searching for ages and checking out different shoops to see what they could do.
Some of the pics look kinda golden due to the camera used and the lighting etc but I have tried to add multiple pictures to give you a idea of what it looks like.
Absolutely what I was looking for and looks amazing IMO.
I was looking for 'the right" bronze for ages until reading this thread where I found the fiat 750 code. I gave the company refurbing my wheels the colour code and showed them a few pictures from this thread. Long story short, I went to collect them last night and they were almost orange. Completely nothing like any of the pics here. I didn't take a picture as my phone was dead, but they said they'd done a gold base coat and one coat of the fiat 750, to which I said this is completely wrong.
They've agreed to have 'another go', but now I'm pretty worried they'll mess it up again - what base colour is best for this paint code? And how many layers are ideal to build up the colour? Many thanks

Sounds like they screwed up. I always put a black base coat down on mine before spraying 2 coats of the bronze. They always look spot on. Certainly wouldn't use a gold base and a single coat of Fiat 750. Nope. If you can to 3 coats of bronze over the black base then this is also good. Gives a slightly deeper bronze.
this has got me thinking I have a set of PFF7s to refurb....was going to go standard gun metal, or anthracite...but the bronze is tempting. Same colour car as yours brownpants.....
Did you use a matt lacquer on these? Or how did you finish them to get the matt effect. Look great.
I didnt used lacquer. I think even matt lacquer will make them go dark brown, so i will let them like this till friday. Then i will mount them on my civic haha
I recently did a set of Clio wheels in the Fiat 750 colour. Think they suit the car well, and am tempted to get a spare set of wheels and do them for the same colour for the Evo

I painted my F1s bronze for my Racing Blue 182...looked awesome. Hope all is well with you and yours
My wheels are satin bronze powdercoat.
So tried Halfords , they were useless without a paint code (they wanted make and model of car etc).
Then went to local motor factors. They had every Fiat colour except the one mentioned above but the one below was good enough for my purposes.
sorry to dig this up, sprayed wheels in fiat colour but did them with gloss laquer, now colour is wrong :-(
need to do in matt... can i flatten it down with scotchbrite? and then matte laquer?
or do i need to paint again....?
Interesting. I have mine painted, have the STI lettering done , and fully intend to satin lacquer them tonight but have the same fear that I'll somehow mess it up.
Wouldn't bother me sanding and repainting but the STI is filled with paint now and only paint stripper will sort that out if i need to start over ! So i can only imagine how gutted you are on a set of wheels.
Decided to lacquer after doing a quick test (so quick the masking tape peeled the pain off)
Thanks for the paint code heads-up (though this is slightly different code) and the inspiration BPR
