Just got home from Connors day 2012, in the past 48 hours I've driven nearly 600 miles, spent nearly 6 hours on 2 ferry trips and spent just shy off £1000.....
It was epic!!!! Connors day 2013?? I'll be there if it happens for sure.
Massive massive respect for Scott and a big well done to all that helped organise such a fantastic day.
Id also like to thank all the people who put money in my donation bucket as they came through the gate £335 for an hours bucket shaking

If this is an annual event Id be up for it no problem and so would others from VVOC Im certain thet would be.
BUT to stop any lowlifes taking bits from cars, it would be better on the airfield as has been previously suggested...
I saw earlier a T-Shirt for the event, where would I get 1 from please...?

Next year aaaahhhh! Lol
Nah if it will be annual then if an airfield etc is sourced then there would be no stress involved I belive as the event will have their own marshalls and accessories in place I would of thought, so no stress trying to control numbers etc, then it could go absolutely viral and and no limit to numbers.
I think that black n white photo of Connor could be the main masterpiece for the event logo as its an epic picture thanks to ( rougue I think).
Also them bloody thiefs what a flipping let down, its a disgrace is that, and your right maz it's like stealing flowers from somebody's grave.
What goes around comes around
Regards

Hey All
I just like to thank everyone who help arrange this special day, well done in such a short time. I enjoyed myself on Saturday & I'm glad everything went well for Connor on his special day. No doubt i'll be ordering one of the t-shirts at some point soon.
However I want to raise the issue abit further with regards to Rogue86's badges being stolen, as not only that but today I get a text from my friend who has had the valve caps stolen from his car, ok both of these arent the biggest of things however this has rather ****ed me off, the fact that some thieving (insert swear words here) decided to steal at a CHARITY event - it is unbelievable what some people will do in this world.

In terms of the day itself, I cannot compliment you enough on the organisation...I would say the Club, its name and also Connor's situation has gone global via the internet.
I have posted the link up on Cliosport.net for the T-shirts and also the total raised thus far. If I was being honest, I thought coming from the West Midlands was a fair old trip...but we've definitely been Top Trumped by the lad from France and the person from Guernsey as well as those further South than we were.

Just hope that one day, Karma will give them the swift kick up the backside that they deserve.

I just want to send congratulations to everyone involved. It was an amazing event, especially in the time you had to get organised. You've all done yourselves and Connor proud.
I'm very proud to have been part of the event.
Thanks from myself and the other members from Astra Owners Network

Well that's my wife and I been home for a few hours. 580 mile round trip (that we spread over 3 days). Would have travelled 5800 miles for this.
It's all be said above but what a fantastic day. Had a quick chat with Zippy and a hello to Connor and just took in the atmosphere. SO many people happy to chat and enjoying what the day was actually about.
Marshals, family and organisers. Pat on the back is very much deserved.
Seriously, what a day and just hope we made that smile rise just a little bit higher.
Best wishes Connor

There has been some good marshalling on that pic I'd say James!
Was a great day with a really really good vibe. Needless to say the weather was banging and I was gutted I couldn't stay the whole day
As a result of playing marshall myself and having to travel later I didn't get a chance for many pics. I have searched but can't seem to find a thread. Bar the website www.connorsday.com anyone know where will I find groups of shots from the day?!
Other than one couple complaining about having to travel 'all the way from Wakefield' and not getting to park I came across nothing negative at all. Was good to put a few faces to usernames, and most importantly there were plenty of smiles from Connor and family. Not a bad effort all round!

Im in that picture, I think.
I didnt actually look at any cars yesterday, apart from the monster Lola and a peep through the window of the Ford Coupe hot rod (a 1933, I believe).
