I'm not sure if 'Zippy' and Connor's mum will read through all of the posts on this thread, but I hope if they do they do they take huge pride in what they have done for their little fella. I'm sure they are grateful beyond belief to the folks who have organised today's event, but they are the ones who got the ball rolling on this as a special request for Connor. I really hope and pray that the time they have with Connor is so special.
I think Grumpypants (Connors granda) deserves a big pat on the back as well.
All the very best guys for the coming weeks, cherish every minute.

I'd just like to say a huge thanks to everyone involved in organising todays event at such short notice, you all deserve a HUGE pat on the back.
The main thing is that Connor and his family had a day they'll remember forever.
The moment Zippy handed Connor his trophy and gave him the longest hug ever had me in tears...words cannot describe the amount of love shared between them.
Zippy, if you're reading this (i was in the black Golf and thanked you at the end) you my man are an inspiration and sincerely wish you and your family all the best for the future....YOU DID YOUR LITTLE MAN PROUD.
Thanks for letting us be a part of it.
Cheers,
Roj

Not sure what to say at the minute, but I had a tear in my eye more than just once today, what a beautiful little boy you have Zippy, he took it all in his stride, I tried to talk to you I wasn't being rude I couldn't stop myself from blubbering so buggered off.
A BIG thank you to all the drivers for listening and doing as we asked, not one complaint! Petrol heads of the UK be very proud of yourselves today. Ile add more later, now I'm tired.
Here's some of the 560 photos I took today!

Wow going by the comments I feel ok now lol.
It's been absolutely manic in the days before this with all kinds of hiccups arising, but on the day it all came together.
I'm sorry if people wanted to get into the main venue, but with the numbers it was never going to happen, and the venue filled up by 12.30 I think and that's why the overflow parks were used, so I'm glad that every one got parked up safely and quickly after getting a bashing in my ear from the police .
Tbh I never had time to take any photos as just didn't have time from 10-2pm and then I thought i need a rest lol, but everything was sorted by then and thought I'd enjoy the gathering too.
It's not me that made this happen but the guys that helped out so much it's increddable, the likes of toneh,jamo,gc8,samuellis,fox die,few of the wys crew and other which I don't remember the names of but you guys know who you are, also sorry for being a bit bossy and stressing as I like to think of the worst and then it just will get easier from there.
So a applaude to all involved with this and kept it running sweet (polices comments too).
The satisfaction was the comments received and it went well for Connors day2012.
Nice photos on here, going to have a look on other threads as just got in from drinking as it was needed.
Connor was so happy as I never went up to him to speak as I know he was busy all the time throughout and didn't want to get , .
He has had a wonderfully day,
And thanks again everyone for the support on this its very commendable for people to come from far and wide inc overseas.
P.s there IS talk of Connors day 2013 and I went , but nevertheless is should be at airfield so numbers will NOT be limited.
Best regards corky.

Great day today, I loved it, I have family members living locally who enjoyed it and I know Dan who is my brother in law and co driver of the scooby clinic rally car thought it was a fantastic day too.
It was very touch and go if that car even made it or not!

I just want to join the other marshalls in saying thanks to all the people that attended today for been patient with use and understanding when told they couldnt get on the main site i didnt hear one complaint everybody just did as we asked.
Also want to say thanks to scott aka zippy for getting the ball rolling and the others that helped organise this to make it such a great day for everyone especially connor and the family.
Im looking a little like a tomato but oh well it was all worth it. It was also a pleasure to work with the other marshalls including jordan((the only girl marshall) who i sort of chucked in deep end by handing a hi vis and sticking on the gate) i think we can all give ourselves a pat on the back from whats been said on here.
Had a cracking time and although i didnt get to meet connor im glad i could be part of making this such a special day for him every pic i have seen he is smiling.
Thoughts are with him and his family.

Im glad i could help with the marshalling, if you need help again just let me know im more than happy to help.
Im also pleased that connor and everyone involved enjoyed the day

Sounds like the day was a massive success.
I wish we could have been there to share in the day.
I may not have been there on the day, but I just want to say a massive well done to all involved for making this such a fantastic day for Connor anyway. Well done to all those who organised the event in one way or another, to the marshalls for their part, and to all the people that got behind this by either turning up, donating or showing their support.
From here, all I can do is tell Scott and his family that they are in my prayers for the road ahead. This day, will have been such a great one for him, and will have provided such great memories for the rest of the family.
Well done to all.

I want to say, well done everyone. I couldn't make it, but we are getting a lot of photos in to put on the site (www.connorsday.com), and seeing Connor's smile on every one really warms the heart! All of you got together and really made this one little boy's day.
If you have more photos, please send them over. webmaster@interlifedesigns.net
We want to put up as many as we can so Connor can see them all, so send away!
Also, don't forget to donate to the charity Connor's family chose at http://www.justgiving.com/Connors-day-2012 and also get your t-shirt with the proceeds going to the same charity at http://blipshift.com/products/connors-day
Again, well done everyone!

Just wanted to say well done for organising a great day and well done to Zippy for hiding them tears.
Gotta say though, I think a few people were a bit bent of shape with the parking- We went to the trouble of following the list rules, displayed our numbers etc etc but then ended up in some car park in the wilds of wani. Bit disappointing after travelling 200 miles- can't be helped though just wanted to mention it.
I think one of our lads got some nice pics of Zippy and Conner on his Canon and when he gets them to me I'll pop them up for you
