That's a whole £69 per bhp.

Does it at least spool up faster or feel better on the road?

it will be coming off the road after i have been to rallyday in September. The underneath of the car will be having a major overhaul. In the meantime i am on the lookout for a decent pair of front seats,i still have the standard wrx seats fitted i want some that give more support.

That's not a cheap process. Are you getting problems with charge temps or is it just a preventative measure?

Pipes won't be finished till next Wednesday so I have to play a waiting game.
I can't get the car to Ryan to have the interior fitted until I have refitted the pipes.

Well the pipes are back but I am not sure I like the colour.
I will fit them and get the car down to Ryan so we can swap the interiors over.

You're an incredibly patient and unlucky man Dave. A long wait for the pipes and don't like the colour when they turn up. Just made me giggle that's all.

Keep up the good work. It's a great project and lovely car.

Ouch! At that price I'd want them perfect. In fact I'd want them solid gold. Blimey!

Is Ryan aka 'Prodriverules' at Torques Performance in Crickhowell?
I'm looking for an underbody overhaul on my bugeye wagon and that would be ideally local.

What a waste of money having the pipes coated was.It looks like they have sprayed over dust particles.I am off to see the bearded wonder in the morning so i will see what he suggests.

I agree, that's why I was surprised. It's not an aesthetic finish, it's functional.

Ryan agreed there are particles under the coating but I have decided to leave it till after Rallyday and then decide what to do.There are several little jobs that need doing but they can wait for now. The car will be off the road in the Autumn for underbody refurb so everything will be sorted then. The engine will have to come out so it will be ideal.

I have sent photos to Performance 1 Coatings but have had no reply.
There are a couple of people not happy with them on their Facebook page.
I think I will have to put it down to experience.

I have had a reply from them today, they want me to send the pipes back to them,i cant see the point in that.
They sent them to me with faults presumably thinking they were of good quality so what are they going to alter ?

The new interior is fitted.I am now trying to find a local upholsterer who would be willing to take out the small panel with Sti on it and replace with a plain one.If anyone knows of a good one not too far from The Forest of Dean [Coleford] let me know.
