Have to say the BBC coverage has been very good as well. Some of the images have been outstanding.

Wins in the horses and cycling. 18 golds.

Require 1 more gold and 7 more medals overall to equal Beijing 2008! Still got 6 days left.

Go on cuties Laura and Victoria tomoz. You can - and WILL! - do it!

The Russians have fought back brilliantly; one more gold and they're in fifth ahead of the French!

Team GB not as succesful on the track today but still another great day of drama. Felix Sanchez weeping away on the winner's podium. A superman on the track but very much human off it.

Huge double standards from the IOC. Some athletes sent home for not trying whilst the entire Australian team are allowed to stay.

Yes I agree completely, and the general organisation of the Olympics cannot be faulted so far. Even the seats are filling up!

Trott (sooo cute) - gold.
I didn't expect that, going into that last Omnion event.

Hoy ("The Real McHoy") - gold.
Amazing 'engine'.

Pendleton (cute and hot) - silver.
Fair play to Meares (what a fantastic ****! ); she had the wood over her in this final.
Bit harsh to relegate Queen Vic in the 1st heat (seeing as Meares lent on her) - prob. all but impossible not to leave the sprint lane under that scenario.

Emotional stuff.

I'm in a state of barely controlled euphoria and national pride.

My chest is puffed right out. I'm strutting like a cockrel lol.

Anyone see the Aussie reporter on BBC News this morning?

Basically implying that the reason the Aussies have done so bad, and the Brits and Chinese so good, is because most of the Aussie coaches are now coaching the Brits and Chinese.

Nice to be gracious in defeat, eh?

The French aren't far off. They accused us of cheating to have so many golds especially Enis.
