Booked my Flights to Amsterdam for my Stag
I must say I agree. I went a few times between the ages of 18-22 and found it really tedious and seedy even at that young age (and I quite like seedy
) after the novelty of obvious legalities wore off.
Now I'm pretty sure I'd find it awful.
I would have headed somewhere like Latvia/Lithuania/Ukraine

) my wife does not but we have been 4 times in the last 18 months and will be again soon. There's all kinds of things to do like Museums (not really my scene but I did enjoy the Van Gogh museum) and all sorts of live music to enjoy but most of all it's the general laid back vibe that we enjoy. My 21 year old daughter also fell in love with the place on a short visit a couple of months back and I'm fairly confident this was not because of the coffeeshops
Myabe this is all a bit irrelevant for a stag do but there is a hell of a lot more to Amsterdam than Coffeeshops and the Red Light District - I do agree that it is pretty expensive to eat and drink but not really that bad.
