Definatly looks weird , if it was glue the holes in the letter B would be clean ? They seem to be the same as where the adhesive was which cant be right. Wet sand and machine polish IMO , respray as a last resort (or if that ****s it up)

Again, not sure how safe it is, or effective in this case, but hairspray can be good for shifting glue.

If it is definitely just glue, I would be tempted to use proper thinners (not white spirit). I couldn't say how safe it would be on your paintwork, I have only used it at work to remove marks from shelving and it works a treat.
Again, not sure how safe it is, or effective in this case, but hairspray can be good for shifting glue.

So Bubba, how would you suggest removing this substance? I mean your a very active member on here so you must have your own opinion, but as yet you've not been very constructive on the topic.
I'm still of the opinion it needs a good old rub with some thinners/spirit, but if it's lacquer build up from a blow over then I'm out of my league sorry.

Another vote for G3. Meguiars also do one which takes out up to 1200 grade scratches.

Could try sealant eater which is used to dissolve silicone sealant - i used this to remove some sticky glue from the fridge door (sticker removed but left residue behind) and it came straight off

Just get some MONSTER energy drink stickers for her. All the locals are rockin' around with them these days an they all look AWESOME!

I have always found that the best way to get rid of the sticky which is left by labels etc. is ordinary white spirit. It takes it off immediately and has no effect on the car's finish.
Just put it on a duster and wipe the sticky stuff off.

If its old residue white spirit and the like won't work.
Get a stain devil stain remover (the ones for clothes) that takes glue off (edit, might be chewing gum) There's a chemical in that that was recommended to me by Mark Underwood (anyone remember him?) years ago and it's the only thing that will work without resorting to sanding/buffing.
Won't damage the paint.
Soft cloth, few drops, comes off. Good wash, polish and wax and you're good to go.

if it is definitely glue, try a spot of petrol and rub it in circles over the glue. comes off easily and ive had a right nightmare with sticker glue in the past on the scoob

Ahh, The Wax Wizard
Try "Goo Gone" or "Sticky Stuff Remover". Soak a paper towel in it and lay over where the letters were and allow to soak in for a bit before rubbing off.
