Matters not. They're both all but the same, figuratively.

1 bar = 1.02 kg/cm^2

ah well thats good to know so might be worth trying that.
Did yours throw maf sensor up on diagnostic?

Much difference with quality on the sensors between OE and aftermarket?

cheers guys

No. The lambda is effective only in open loop (off boost) and will cause rough idle. On closed loop (on boost) the ECU controls the fuelling directly.

As has been said, get the timing rechecked. A non OE belt may not line up properly and can be half a tooth out.

Know how you feel, had mine back in, changed plugs for standard 6rb's no different. Garage says timing wont be out as on the new pulleys and belt they have marks and line up. Only thing it flags up repeatedly is knock sensor would this cause less boost?

At a guess, It'll retard the ignition timing to a default (safe) value. Which can reduce power.

Ignition timing does have a effect on boost, but its not massive unless its retarding the timing by some silly amount.

Yeah that what i thought but wondered if it would really do that much, im peaking at usually 0.5
But then i wondered if it was missing, maybe due to bad leads which causes the knock sensor.
Or when they've taken air box off to do plugs have they damaged maf sensor
Going to have to bite bullet and buy one of them, is there alot of difference between genuine and non sensors? Knock ones range from 30 to 80 quid and they both have year warranty
Cheers everyone

Do not buy a non-genuine MAF sensor. I've see so many fail prematurely or have accuracy problems on various cars its unreal.

Also beware of fakes floating around on the likes of ebay (i.e Denso branded, but just a copy) so only buy off reputable suppliers.

Personally I'd try and borrow a known working one. But if you must buy one, buy a geniuine brand new one.

Don't know about knock sensors, as generally i've not had much in the way of issues with them, but I know for fact that non-genuine MAFs will cause problems.
