Once I started to pull it off (on the drive back from the Richard Burns day at Prodrive) I realised why as it was there to mask all the gouges/scratches.

I'm not a fan of stick on rubbish so it had to go.
The Motorsport Spec C is a proper lightweight model although mine does have factory central locking and basic AC, why delete electric mirrors and then add central locking?

I just need to decide now matt paint or plasticoated?

The later Spec C's are in some cases not much lighter than the standard STi model, mine has factory electric windows as well.
MY03/04 Spec-C Limited(Not WR Limited, this was MY05) has all the bits too Tommy(Usually), Mine has Small aircon, Central locking, Electric Mirrors, Electric Windows(All round), Oh and passenger sun visor, lol.
Every thing points to a LTD but weird about the mirrors.
Plasticoat BTW, Dave-W has the S204 centre console, It looks great

I know what you mean Gaz, when I put my applied model code into some sites it's listed as a standard Spec C, one lists it as a Limited, but it came with WRX rear brakes so I've always assumed it was a Motorsport model.
The trim code is also baffling as well as it doesn't refer to any trim code seen for any other Spec C's that it's been compared to.
I've always thought it was a Motorsport model with factory options on the AC, electric windows and central locking - but why order the lightest version and then fatten it up?

Ok then, lol, Chances are you could be right if the bigger things like Dccd, Brakes were from the motorsport version,
It could be that they had somebody request one and had sold all the Limited`s or possibly sold an extra one they couldnt supply and therefore been asked to build one with the extras on as this was only option if you really wanted it.

Well I have now sourced the other parts required.
Does anyone have a link to a company that plasticoats or can provide the materials to do it if that's possible to be done.

Here are some updated pics after Ryan Prodriverules has worked his magic on the panels.

I'm just hoping now that despite receiving the heater panel from japanparts . com that I use the heater panel that Ryan has already painted.
Even though I haven't seen the panels in the flesh yet I'm really pleased with what Ryan has done.

Damn that looks like a top job Ty, I hope I can achieve a decent finish from a rattle can,it's lots of light coats for me I think rather than a couple of heavy ones. I've got my black dial decals I'll post a picture tomorrow plus my red hazard on the way from the states. Ryan has help me decide one thing the Sti gator surround looks better black as well.

I thought I had a red JDM hazard switch but I cannot find it for love nor money so I have bitten the bullet and ordered a new one from the USA. As per the link below:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/400292369070...witem=&vxp=mtr
I was unsure about the gaitor surround and I still hadn't made up my mind but I do like the surround in black so Ryan made it up for me.

I just hope I can keep the later heater controls and panel, if not then I have a reserve plan in mind.
Mines on the way from the states as well Ty as the Yen is pants at the moment, just under £30 as yours is, no point in doing this mod and not doing the red hazard and the last thi g I want to do is strip it all out twice.
I've been looking at those overlays from the US, but I don't think the A/C one will work will it? The UK A/C **** has 3 temperatures marked in Celsius whereas the US one has three in Fahrenheit so I don't think the text will line up?
That's the best shot of mine I can find.

Some slight updated pics with the USA heater control panel that I got last week from Japan, it has been painted in case of not being able to use the later style of heater control panel seen above.
I think by all my research that I will end up using the USA item, as I believe the wiring loom for my Spe C will not accept the later heater controls with auto function.

The Roger Clark radiator cooling panel will be fitted shortly as well.

Pictures when done please Ty.
And i believe yours is the 2004 16" motorsport version that was available back then with the optional central locking, manual aircon and power windows.
And NO ABS.

To be honest I don't miss the ABS one bit, and despite some very agressive braking I haven't managed to lock the brakes except for once when it was raining hard.
In fact I would go so far as to say as having old school brakes actually makes the car better to drive with more 'feel' through the brake pedal.

I also treated myself yesterday to a new head unit as I am going single din.

Well the final parts I've ordered have arrived today, I'm now looking forward to seeing it all fitted.
