So Tottenham tomorrow at The Lane, predictions on the score? I think it'll be 2-1 Chelsea!

So JT has been reprimanded by the club, but they're not disclosing the details. If the captaincy isn't taken away ( I don't think it should be ) the press will jump on it no doubt .

Be a tough one today, Spurs on a high after the United game, Villas Boas connection, I'd take a draw

Why dont you think he should lose it ? on what grounds, serious question for once Paul, most people believe he should have lost it based on the racist comments element as well as dragging his employers name through the mud and I include Chelsea fans I work with and a whole load more on 5Live and Talk Sport.

To be honest this whole sorry saga has cast a shadow over the game for 12 months and I have little sympathy for CFC because if they hadn't requested the original court hearing be moved for their own needs then this would have been done and dusted months ago.

How much did he pay his legal team to write that statement btw

Because he's innocent, as proved in a court of law?

If kung fu kicking a fan doesn't lose you the captaincy, then being guilty of nothing shouldn't

3 black players don't think the kick it out campaign is doing enough, and protest by not wearing the t-shirt (1 seriously embarrassing his manager!, but then his brother was recently racially abused).

Hardly going to set the racism issue back is it. Not like using racist language like Terry and Suarez.

RDM has said that this has tainted the Chelsea image, as well the FA saying it has put the cause back in England. So yes it is surprising to most that he is still the figurehead for CFC.

Love the way you completely ignore the FA findings, the lack of appeal/admission of guilt. FFS it so so blatant, one quick look at the video made it very clear.

Is he a racist , probably not.
Did he use racist language, 100% yes.

2 charges, prob the right outcome in both.

Only question, is why the ban was less than Suarez's.

I think we need to put things into perspective here.I'm not saying that racist language is OK because it not in football or socially but is Ferdinand or Evra career over because of what was said to them....No.

You can do a two footed tackle and end a players career and you only get a 3 match ban, headbutt or punch a opposite player and get 3/4 match ban, swear at a ref 1 match ban.

Shout some stupid words you get a 4 or 8 match ban.

Laughing at you, not crying Paulie

You're more blinkered than addi if your response is he was found not guilty by a court of law (just ignore everything else) the guy has even apologised for using racist language .

The only reason certain players weren't wearing Kick it out T-shirts (which I don't agree with) were because of one person and one person only he's the same person casting the shadow.

I think Aaron has answered your "5hite" question already, and lets be fair it wasn't a question, hence I wasn't sucked in, it was just a fumble in the dark trying to detract from the big issue once again.

I'm well aware that he did kick a fan. He also wasn't given the captaincy the next season. He was severely punished by both the club and the FA, he then led by example and was given the captaincy over a season and a half later.

so again

The kick didn't even really connect - just sort of grazed through the shirt as Cantona was by then already falling backwards as you can see on any clip, although the intent was there, I grant you.

However...., the punch that Cantona threw straight after was a peach I know because I was there a few rows behind. You could see the head of Palace thug (convicted armed robber by the way - a real angel) snap backwards as it landed and, strangely, all the abuse that he had run down from the back of the stand to give Cantona stopped as he cowered away from him. Quality moment was the Palace steward half way to the tunnel then throwing a cup of tea over Cantona as he walked off.

I'm with Cantona - Ferdinand minor should have decked Terry - it's the only thing the racist, charity abusing, mate's girlfriend ********, moron would understand.

Surely Clattenburg was just repeating what he thought the player had said?

They showed the steward being treated on Sky, here is the BBC report;

If Mark Clattenburg did indeed make a racist remark then Chelsea will be left with no option but to make him captain.
