Surely there's no question as to whether morals come into it. That is one moral view you have expressed, and one view of what 'society' is and should be.

The NHS is not something I really have an issue with, but the point is that simply claiming to pursue the common good for everyone shouldn't automatically legitimise the use of authority over them. You don't seem to have a problem with that, as long the outcome seems well intentioned.

That sort of thing doesn't sit well with me. Before acting and coercing people, there are other factors to consider than just the one moral cause, the common good.

It's actually refreshing to see a party listen to the electorate, admit certain policies are wrong in hindsight and scrapping them, something we'd never see Brown Blair or Darling even consider.

Want to end up like Greece Pete ? then let the scum back into power.

It doesn't.

I'm talking about the Tories dismantling the public sector (again) after Labour spend a decade reparing the damage from the Thatcher years.

Not some sinister leftist central control conspiracy.

To be fair, they wouldn't have thought of such ridiculous ideas in the first place.

Just out of interest, what do you think are the similarities between the financial problems that Greece faces, and the UK fiscal situation? Assuming Labour get back in?

There is probably some truth in what you are saying Pete.

Trouble is, your heroes have even less to offer as a solution especially since they were instrumental in destroying our economy.

Can you imagine what would happen if ***** was let loose on the situation? He would have us us at the same level as Greece in a very short time!

If your personal finances were in a similar parlous state, would you set off hitting the credit card and increasing your debt as well as your interest repayments?

I doubt that you can answer that one!
