Thanks, although I have to say it's not very inviting up there when the clouds and rain roll in - you could literally be on the moon it's so remote but yet it's only 20 minutes drive from Swansea.

stunning scenery mate. I live out in the sticks but haven't got anything like that on my doorstep. I bet it's breath taking driving around that.

Car looks top too mate

I did try to go back to sleep but after 30 mins of looking at the clock I thought I may as well get up and go and take the car for an outing.

That road is a bit special and it's a real joy to drive if there is nothing else around, you need to keep all your concentration on the road though as it's a real test in lots of places.

Well I am organising another run around the locality shortly, if you fancy it then keep an eye out in the Welsh section.

No problem, I think we had a couple of BAB's members on a run I organised a couple of years ago plus last summer as well.

I think one of them had a classic wagon from memory, but I am getting old so I might have got the car wrong.

Looking tidy there Ty, was a glorious morning for it!

Bugger it im gonna stop writing this, and get up llangynidr mountain, its only 12mile from me and it has less sheep to avoid!!!

Will have to do it one of these mornings when im feeling the urge, anfd the mrs manages to control herself and resist my advances of a bit of ''sleepy sexytime''!!

The wheels looked nice at the Swansea mrmeet on sunday fair play, i do rekon th ecar would be spot on being an 1'' lower though, get it done!!!

Definitely one of my favourite roads! I do like the wooded section at the bottom of the mountain, but you do have to watch out for people walking on the road in some places...
The very first time I drove it, it was dark and the bridge on the hairpin bend very nearly had my Astra embedded in it!

Cheers Rob, it's having coilovers fitted at the weekend so it will be sitting lower then - I will be coming pass your place on Saturday afternoon I'll give you a call.

I've come over that bridge almost sideways before now having forgotten about it until the last minute, it's easier coming up from Llangadog as you are going uphill and can see the bridge sooner. Whereas heading in the opposite direction you tend to be going faster and don't see the bridge until a lot later.

I'll have to check the Welsh section for the date and tie in a visit back to the motherland with the hoon. I've never driven the A4069 and need to get it done!
