Most ebay ones are cheapies. Mine is a TSL one with a slip joint not a flimsy flexi joint. You may meed new gaskets from ICP. Be prepared to have an empty pocket from now on. Scoobys eat your spare cash, its an addiction.

well new cobra decat up pipe fitted in 5 hours and what a job that was!!! but its on! only problem is it hasnt fixed the misfire problem!!
when i fist fired her up she was sounded sweet as a nut, after warm up i made my way out of the estate and up the road to head out of town and she was pullin like a dream.. but as soon as i got on main road and put my foot down it was like she was holding back and the engine magement light started flashing as before!! so looks like its back to the drawing board!!

dunno where to go now!!! wat do i look at next??!!?

Did you say you had changed the spark plugs ? You need to check plug leads and coil pack too. There is another thread on here at the moment very similar to your prob. Also your main cat or your second cat arnt being restrictive are they ?

na i havnt touched anything apart from the up pipe took her out again while i had a bit more time this evening and found that if i just put pushed the throttle to about 10 - 15% she would run smooth rite up through the revs turbo kick in 2nd and third pull like a dream but as soon as i give her more she just starts holding back. and the light flashes also noticed she is a bit unsettled when idling almost like a heart beat skip... unfortunatly the funds are now tight so have to spend a couple of weeks just doin more research, think i mite save up for a error code reader first off. see these errors for myself!!

well this is the conclusion to this thread as today i have solved the misfire issue!! after all the hassle and money spent on a new uppipe it turns out that the coil packs where in need of a clean. yesterday the car was running that bad i thought to myself that my first hunch (which i also told my subaru dealer when i took it up to them the first time) it was plugs and leads. so i took a can of wd40 and sprayed the coils on the outside to see if that would help!! turns out it made a massive improvment!! although not 100%s so today I had a look around to source some new coil pack. then this afternoon i decided to take out the coil packs and clean them down to help until i ordered some new ones. i also cleaned down the earthing points around the engine bay as a extra, i then took a test drive to find a 100% improvement!! no misfire at all no engine management light no hesitation anywhere in the throttle nothing!! she has not missed a beat since!!! i think if the problem comes back i will change coil packs but i think my problems are over.. thanks to all the support and info from the scoobynet boys!!
The morel to this story is "go with your original hunch"

Glad you got it sorted

On your car, it is best to change out the cat. there have been old ones breaking up and destroying the turbo. The sensors also fails and causes the same issues
