roof arrived yesterday guys, there has to be more than one of you that want one in carbon??

The evo 8 MR roof features ridges that run front to back at either side of the roof, and we were thinking that this would be possible to incorporate this into the impreza roof.

Any ideas thoughts from you guys would be great.

we cant put in the vortex fins at the back as this would put the price way up as it would involve cutting the cloth and laying in extra bits for the fins, real nightmare of a job and quality repeatability definitly goes down.

Let me know what you think about the ridges idea guys, im sure you've all seen them on the E8 MR

At this stage all i have is the metal roof cut off at the bottom of the A,B and C pillars.

The pattern making process and moulding process should take around a month before we can start to pull out a carbon fibre panel. There are pictures of the classic carbon roof which we have already run a group buy on if you want to see what the finish product will look like.

We really do need to have ten names down to be able to produce and sell them for £560.

We will probably just stick to the origional design. We really do need to generate some more interest in these, before we start manufacture.

Excellent, only need one more before we can start and make the mould, lets hope we can get to ten so you guys can have the cheapest price. Quality is garunteed. Fitting can be done by ryan AKA Prodriverules. C&K Motors, top bloke and has already fit aload of our classic impreza carbon roofs.

The wrap is similar to a matt finished carbon roof, the gloss finish looks stunning.
I have a carbon roof fitted to our evo in gloss finish if that will help give an idea of how it will look? sorry to swear on SN i know the E word is a touchy subject

Guys and glas we just need one more name then we can go ahead and start the moulding process. Just a thought, is anyone planning on putting the ariel back on, theres no issue with drilling holes for it, i just thought it a better idea to get an ariel that goes inside one of the rear quarter windows, saves drilling holes in a nice carbon roof

I wasnt sure on the ariel.

Maybe maybe maybe get one before end of this year, i dont need any encouragement lol.

Excellent guys we've got the first three names down. I'll start and get the roof panel made into a pattern to take the mould off. Also ive invested in a new moulding system whish allows us to make the mould in just one day with zero shrinkage from the resin.

Going to need a few more names though to give you guys the best possible price. Bulk buying carbon fibre means i can pass the saving onto you guys.

We'd be looking at around 2.5Kg for the roof panel.

Bonnets and boots can be done but again i'd need atleast three of you to make it econimically viable for us to do the work and produce the moulds.

Mark.
Im afraid not, the roof panel is still sat in my workshop, we were going over the cost to pattern/mould make, and to make it worth while us doing we could really do with a few more names. Its disappoint i know, seeing as the classic impreza CF roofs literally flew out of the door.

We are a little undecided on what to do, we want to give you guys the best price possible however we need multiple orders to do so...

I'd like to know how much the OEM roof weighs, and will this roof make the shell less stiff in any way? I've got a weld in cage anyway, but every little helps when it comes to stiffness.
