The loaf goes on your head, and you take a picture as proof that you are the person posting. An age old Scoobynet tradition.

Usually only requested for female members.....I can't imagine why
Yeah hence why I posted a popcorn, knew all the letches would be in

Welcome to the forum

I would take someone along with you who has a known history of these cars. If you get a good one it will be a joy to own but pick up a shed and you will for ever be chasing problems.

Can I ask what's your budget as you may be better off holding out for a decent example on here. Also pop up a wanted thread in the for sale section anyone thinking of upgrading to newer impress may be after a quick and easy sale rather than getting all the messers via autotrader etc

Good luck

^^^^^????????????????????

The loaf request dates back to one thread in particular where a girl posted a picture of herself and no one believed it was her (as she was quite tidy) so someone asked her to post a picture with a loaf on her head to prove it was her, so whenever a Female of the species joins up - the loaf requests come out

Advert is pretty poor IMHO, I would avoid. There are plenty for sale on here that are worth looking at.

yes i know, but some people claim to be female (ooh errr) when they are men,
hence the old loaf request to prove the claim.

I was under the impression that MY2000 UK's (on an X plate) had 4 pots but the earlier turbo 2000's were on 2 pots.

Which is correct - 4 pots started on the MY99.
I was simply pointing out that all of the non limited edition cars were called Turbo 2000 from MY94 all the way through to the MY00

lol, Thankyou for all your posts, i didnt go today as planned, the rear arches have been done and to a good standard (i have seen the car but wanted advice before going back again as i dont really know what im looking for.) Its the mileage that bothers me the most, as far as i am aware and a quick scan through the masses of paperwork, the engine has never been changed and the clutch felt good, gearbox fine. Bushes and suspension also good. He is hoping for around £1600. I have an enthusiast who, if it is still for sale is going to go over it on sunday, he too was a little dubious about the miles.

well its a toss up between a classic and hawkeye, trouble is im not paying 445py in tax to keep fiat pandas on the road, ive looked at 3 "55" plate hawks to avoid the tax issue. However i do love the classics too and feel the hawkeye is slightly cheating, i want one to keep and cherish and fettle with at my leisure whereas a hawkeye would also be used as a daily car. my budget depends on whether i keep the golf turbo.

If youve got enough for a hawkeye, why not get a nice classic STi or Type R or something rather than a turbo 2000?
