one bolt goes through existing tow hook and one bolt on the outside of tow hook , so it kind of sandwiches the existing hook , then move it to the position you want ,
bolt -washer-new hook -existing hook-black thing-washer-nut
hope this helps , probably better if i take a picture

Right guys, as promised, afew pics from fitting these over the weekend to my 06 hawkeye STI.
First top tip for fitting these is to wrap them with masking tape before starting to stop and scratching to the anodised finish while measuring them up etc
For the rear one, its up to you how you fit it, but because i have no intention of towing with the hooks at all as this would ruin them, i simply fixed it for cosmetic purposes.
Firstly i removed the existing tow hook completely. I then bolted the hook using only one of the M12 bolts supplied through the hole left by the old hook and tightened mega tight after setting the desired angle. If you see in the pic there is a small cable tie fitted, this is purely as a safeguard for if the bolt was to loosen for any reason, to stop the hook swinging down (really aint going to happen as tightened that bolt uber tight! ) Also, fitting it like this means you can bend it straight whereas i found it more difficult to achieve a straight hook when mounting to the original hook.
Note, if you want it to be sturdier for towing from etc, it is real easy to just clamp it to the existing hook, but as i only want it for cosmetic purposes, i fitted it the other way as the angle etc looks much better in my opinion (looks less out of place).
You will also note that i found a unique new use for the two circular anodised fittings out of the front kit to hold my diffuser up using longer screws
For the front hook, it was a much harder task. I removed the whole bumper and mounted it to the crash bar. (see pics below) Its not the easiest of jobs so if your not great with the spanners id allow a bit of time to do it. Another top tip if removing the bumper is to apply masking tape to the headlights and wings to avoid scratching when fitting the bumper.
I alligned it so the rear most bolt holes in the hook overhung the rear of the bar so fitted length-wise, though it is your decision how far you want it sticking out. You need to make sure it is alligned correctly so the hook protrudes through the grille vent too, which also means cutting a slot in the polystyrene reinforcing bar.
(section of polystyrene cut out)
You may see that i had to 'mod' the numberplate slightly too with the dremel also took the opportunity to fit my neo-chrome wheel nuts to finish off the theme
Hope this helps.

I think im going to replace the number plate with a smaller one that fits in without cutting, but we shall see!
Its a Pipercross Viper kit mate, rate it good mate, but it was on the car when i got it so cant really compare! All ive done is clean it, but be aware that with the CAF fitted directly it can scoop up some bits!

Hey,
I came across this thread on a search on google for a Benen Industries Tow Hook.
Normally when you find these sort of threads they are a couple of years old, but these are recent sales.
I assume they are universal and not car specific?
What do you have still available?
Many thanks
Carl
