Just curious to know whether I wasnt getting the expected figures with these mods because of a possible leak, injectors not sufficient enough etc. Hence the question. Thought I'd be closer the 330 mark but could something be restricting it i.e. injectors, hoses, other than that the cars runs fantastically.

I know the internals and TMIC are fine on these cars upto 400
There's your problem there you've got a welbro fuel pump there notoriously bad lol

I'm only messing

Defo should have a look at replacing the fuel pump

And as for the fpr I'm running near as dammit 450 on a standard regulator

That's pretty poor on a 20g with the other mods! You'd have prob got near that on the stock turbo.

I did! That's why I have lost confidence in the original mapper not to notice that very little had changed in performance. I didn't realise how very little my gains were until later in the day when I went off to 'play'.

Prodrive car with uprated pump that I changed for a new walbro a few days before map to refresh the car before mapping to avoid problems like this

Give Andy Carr a ring and get it sorted. could be a whole host of non mapping related problems that we cannot see that need sorting. Did RCM give any advice? I usually plug into the ecus to monitor and datalog even just on dyno runs.

Setup looks capable of 380-400bhp I would say.

I presume the car was road mapped and then went on the rr?
so the environment is different and it would make more if mapped on that rr.

No fuelling plot posted - do you have it?

Thats run 3.. what power on the other two, were they similar?

To be fair the bugeye sti can sometimes be a pig for no easy to find reason.

Something somewhere is restricting it.

I probably should give the guy the chance to sort it but I would have thought an experienced mapper would have been able to tell if it was down on power? plus he squashed my tailpipe when clamping on the sensor lol

Road mapped yes so I was expecting a difference in power of about 15bhp (give or take) not 30+.

I remember Andy giving me a guesstimate on the day by using a calculator? (calculating air - fuel used maybe??) which he told me was 360 - 365bhp. having never been in a car at this level before (driven 330 and 410 but nothing in-between) I couldn't really tell if the car felt as it should.

No fuelling plot given, wouldn't have even thought about asking for one tbh.

That was the best of 3 runs where the others were within a few BHP.

Could it be a manifold leak as suggested?

Do you think RCM would have saved previous runs Datalogs?

tumble generator valves - the wrx's have them, if they fail and stay shut or partially shut they make little power.. usually dye at 5000 ish rpm.. standard ecu would throw CEL.. but not got them on the Sti.

Not enough inputs and outputs in the ecu to run both, so I doubt it.

A slipping clutch would change the output to the wheels. I would have thought youd notice it though. Certainly rcm would notice it on there rollers

I do recall there being some confusion with restricter pils or something at the time. I guess that would be found in the same area?

Thought so but was a bit worried as I elected to stay with the same clutch until it died you see.

Sorry about my lack of technical knowledge, its a bit of a learning curve for me

Believe restrictor pill isnt used with a three port (could be wrong).
4 Pulls on a car with this amount of mods in one go seems a bit of a short fall. IMO
