Like ALi many thanks for the advice but my router is plugged into the master socket and has been for well over a year now!! The best speed I've managed to get in the last year or so was about 2.1 mb. I've had a Talktalk engineer out and they told me that was the best I'd get on my line/connection, this is the 3rd router that TT have supplied (D-Link) which for a short time kept the connection to over 2mb but like the other routers before it's now starting to sync to a slower speed!!!

Hurry up BT and get some fiber-optic cable sorted, it's not like I'm out in the sticks.

Speeds will only be as fast as the BT line can handle regardless of ISP.

 

Very poor for this day and age but am 2.5-3 miles from the exchange.

 

Very poor...........I wish I could get somewhere near that !!!
