My lunch time treat. Oh dear oh dear...
Having been brought up in the '50's and '60's and using the equivalent 'street speech' of the day, I eventually grew out of it. I now realise how important it is to at least, attempt the English language (As odd as it is, in some ways!) Mind you, I recently became very annoyed when my brother-in-law suggested it might be time I 'grew out of' driving such a car and going to motorsport meetings and shows. What a meddling old fart (and he's slightly younger than me and has no hobbies or passion for anything in his life!)
I'm not having a go at anyone here, it's just that as intelligent people, you may find your attitude to 'fashion speek' will change as you get a bit older

I'm sorry, I just can't help being a bit of a tw@t at times! As a 24 year old from Bradford one would assume I'd be illiterate. Good to see some people are still proud to be coherent when they speak/write.
Bravo JohnD!
And that's a real shame. There's nothing wrong in trying to preserve the Queens English?

Slight variation on the theme of this thread, but a few months ago a young Asian lad was at the pump opposite and he said to me, "Shouldn't you be driving a big old Merc?".
Too which I replied, "No-one ever overtook anything in a big old Merc..."

Isn't it amazing how you make a blunder when commenting on subjects like this!

Saxo is an affordable and capable car with an agile chassis and nimble handling. With a few modifications you can significantly enhance the performance of the car, esp the VTS, just a shame these little oiks have ruined the car.
The amount of people that have asked me that lol. I keep having to explain to them that the car isn't geared up to be used at top speed and is more to do with the acceleration.
But props to H he has definately kept the riff raff out of the club.
