Until i get my item, then nothings changed. If you've sent it by interlink as you say, why can't you give me the tracking number now?

i have a full sti engine for sale £500 please send me the money by paypal as a gift and i will post tommorow.

iamascammer@youmustbenutstohandoverthemoney.com

seriously why do people hand over money to a someone they dont know,
reading the thread i would suggest the only reason a refund was given is due to murrays address being revealed by another user.

Surely Murray should now have his for sale threads removed until he pays the correct fees as he is a trader?

Didn't Ali say they had been, did I read it wrong. Now I have to read it all again!

exactly!..

sorry but the op is saying "yer everything is fine he gave me my money back.." er, no not really, ignoring phone calls, generally being a bad business man or car breaker, if someone is going to act like that, you get a taste of what they are like in general when it comes to breaking vehicles and just trading in general in my honest opinion, it was right to name and shame. i wouldn't touch with a barge pole.

Thing is Tommy, you're not the first to say this is actually my doing.. But you're missing the point mate.. The £100 doesn't really matter to me, it's the principal. And it bothers me that there were more posts blaming me for gifting the money over than there were condemning an unreliable seller. Like I "asked" for it.. Heard that phrase used before somewhere.. I not once said he was scamming me, I've never been scammed and don't plan to be, he's just unreliable in the extreme but that's been resolved. Had I been scammed/robbed/whatever, then your above post would make sense, but it doesn't mate sadly..

And if the parts in question were still on the car being broken you can bet your bottom dollar all the other bits still are!

no offence meant mate, just a bit of lighthearted fun.

i think the only reason you have got hold of him is because his address etc was posted on here.
he is obviously watching the thread.
otherwise i think your calls emails would be ignored

To be honest if I were the OP the fact I managed to get a refund would not be the issue, it would be the fact of the lengths I had to go to in order to get my money back.

Would the seller have refunded the payment or even been in contact with the OP if this thread hadn't of been posted? I know what my thoughts are on that, I just hope the other buyers manage to get their parts or a refund without having to resort to starting other threads.

And I won't even go into the issue of yet another business parading itself as a private member.

Murray, first of all thank you for supplying my tracking number. Can i say, in this day and age when business is hard to come by and good business names even harder, you're going about it all wrong m8. Its weeks since you first contacted me in reply to my wanted request for a part and since i sent payment and right from the beginning i was chasing you for reply's. This is the 2nd thread on here littered with disgruntled members/customers waiting for parts off you and from day one i was getting PM's from people warning me off but stupidly i took no notice.

To the people who posted on this thread saying we were stupid to pay by cheque and by "Gift" through paypal, have you never trusted anybody in your life. I myself have done this before on here and other places and never had a problem. Are you trying to say you've NEVER paid for anything at all via credit card, paypal or other avenues over the internet without seeing that person face to face, because if you are, I don't believe you.

This thread was started by the OP because he wanted to raise awareness that somebody was trading on here, taking peoples money and they weren't getting their parts. By doing so he's managed to get his money back and slowly but surely others are starting to see their parts appearing and i'm 100% sure that if he'd not done this, then we'd still be waiting. I'm not saying that we'd never have seen our stuff but it's certainly helped move things along quicker.

Murray, if i was you, i'd try and learn from this experience, treat people how you'd want to be treated yourself. I know i've certainly learned something. Thanks once again for sending my parts yesterday. Once it arrives i'll let people know on here

Well it would seem for the moment all is well with the world once again thankfully.

As i said poor communication, nothing quite like it to get peoples backs up.

Murray if you plan on doing any further business amongst our community i suggest you up your game, otherwise things will get very tricky for you, as you have seen we are a tight knit bunch, especially those of us who have been around a while, and we have a few resident bloodhounds as well as the odd pitt bull, and we don't let go.

Now i understand that life gets busy, but in future don't advertise parts that are not off the car, i did this and have learned my lesson, as good intentions sometimes easily come unstuck, which i'm sure we all understand.

I have three words to live by if your selling on here.

Communication, Communication, Communication.

All advise taken on board and in the future nothing will be advertised with out being removed.

Ok then, so my hub has finally arrived and all looks ok. So all good in the end.

Can I suggest we all learn from this episode,

Buyers – look more closely at feedback, if none look at previous posts, get ALL contact details and pay via Paypal – Goods, not gift! And pay the extra.

Murray – Communicate!!!! Answer messages, phone calls, emails etc etc… even if you cant give the answer the buyer wants at least its an answer, silence allows paranoia / anger to set in.

And most importantly…. Future Scammers…. – Now Murray has turned out to be genuine, but let this thread be a lesson to anybody out there who is considering a scam on here, with the amount of guys on here we had every possible contact detail of the seller within a day.. If you tuck us up we will find you. And secondly and most importantly, first rule of engagement, “Know your enemy” – Before you tuck up somebody, do you know who you are dealing with, I for one had already had an offer from an old pal of mine who runs a legitimate debt recovery business to "recover" the debt on my behalf, there were others on here who would have been prepared to “do it themselves” if you get my drift.. you have been warned!

ok nuf said! im off to book my car in

I've got a brand new set of springs mate. Paypal me the money and I'll get them sent straight out to you. I find the money gets to me quicker if you send it as a gift though.
