it might be legendary but what sort of damage does it do. my sword has 241 damage plus enchantments. my battle axe has a 963 damage rating.
there are trainer that will train you after every level up. 5 steps in what ever skill the person is skilled at. e.g arcadia will do alchemy up to level 80. two of the companions in Jorvaksarr do one handed and two handed. the higher the level the more it costs. low levels cost 200, high levels cost 2000.
DawnGuard is pretty good. solid 7 hours play there. lots to do. new monsters. hell hounds, stone gargoyles. i even get my own battle troll. pretty useless against master vampires. but takes some of the hits before I nail them with an arrow. 500 gold each they are btw. the soul cairn is cool

Now at level 45 and have 100 smithing, 100 block, 100 light armour, 100 sneak. Obviously loads of perks still to get out of those, although I have all the smithing ones.

You're right, it's pretty sh*te. Does 50 damage. Need to get my one- and two-handed up. I'm only one two-handed level away (59) from being able to increase damage, but I'm going to work on that now.

fortify restoration uses abercean longfin, cryodylic spadetail, salt pile, small antler, small pearl and yellow mountain flower. use any two. make the potion. remove the 4 pieces of armour. take the fortify restoration. put the armour back on. make another fortify restoration potion. take off the armour. drink the potion. put the armour on. rinse and repeat. do it too many times and the potions strengths become meaning less. 900-1000% more effective give a nice boost to smithing potions.

you need to concentrate on enchanting and alchemy. it's very important if you want to boost those weapons later on. the fortify restoration potions stack so you can make stronger potions. e.g i had a fortify smith potion that increased smithing by 900%. get your 4 pieces of armour enchanted to increase alchemy skills by 128% (32% each piece). you can add well rested bonus or lovers bonus as well. make sure you have 5/5 Alchemist perk as well as physician and benefactor perks (needs 80 skill).

level 76. It takes ages now to level up. continue to fight either single hand or dual handed. concentrate on one or the other. don't waste perks try to fill both trees. archery and sneak as well( though be choosy in which perks your pick.) as I have said before you can try all the magic spells and increase their levels to 100 but when you level up only pick either an increase in health or stamina, never magicka. use the perks from your level ups to increase your skills in
Alchemy(5/5, physician and benefactor),
Enchanting (5/5, Insightful Enchanter, Corpus Enchanter, extra Effect)
Smithing (daedric or dragon),
Archery (Overdraw 5/5, Eagle eye, Steady hand, Power shot, Quick Shot)
Sneak(5/5, Backstab, Deadly aim, Assassin's blade)
Heavy Armour(All perks except Reflect Blows) or Light Armour if that what you have chosen
Lockpicking is taken care of by obtaining the Skeleton Key of Mercer Frey. If you keep the key you can't completed the Thieves Guild storyline but it has gotten me out of some tight corners I can tell you.
With your alchemy and enchanting skills you can carry extra sets of armour that will reduce your casting for ANY spell (even the MASTER spells) to zero magicka.
If you find the STEED stone this gives you a stamina boost and 100 extra carry weight. Armour weight doesn't affect you either.
I have now completed the DLC as both a Dawnguard and as a Vampire Lord. Married Aela the Huntress, made more money than I know what to do with, but there is still loads to do. Collect all 10 dragon masks. Kill the respawnable dragon in the Laberinth, find 30 nirnroot in Blackreach, be a wanted man in all areas, etc etc. So no I am not tired of playing it.
I did go back and restart as an Orc. Got to level 20 and then the DLC dropped so i might go back to playing him again.
One word of advice back up your save games either on USB stick or cloud storage. my mate in work was a level 65 and his xbox now has RROD and his hard drive id FUBAR'd.

How much was the DLC? Waiting for it on PS3.
I'm thinking of starting again when I get the DLC, as I've done everything with my current character.

Those stones are pretty handy. I didn't make use of them properly for ages.

How's your sneaking skill? If it's low, wrap an elastic band around the controller and sneak into a corner near an NPC - go and do something useful for a bit and raise the sneak level without actually doing anything.

Cheers, hopefully an indication of how much Sony will charge.
I don't think you pick the locks with the skeleton key, it just opens them as if you had the correct key?

there is a blind guy in the mouth of a mine near Whirerun. you can practice your sneaking on him with no danger.

you need to get your alchemy and enchanting perks maxed out asap. the light armour actually take less perks to fill the perk tree. If you have them all then your armour should weigh nothing with the unhindered perk. couple that with the steed stone and your going to be able to carry a sizeable amount. you can use the enchanting extra effect perk to double up the enchantments on your light armour giving you nearly as much protection as dragonbone or deadric.

you get a really cool horse at the end of the storyline. Unkillable infact. you can practice all sorts of crap on him without a murmur of complaint. all 4 magics as well as single and dual handed. pretty boring actually. just do 20 minute slots every now and then. one of the more useful NPCs in the game actually. you can jump him off mountains as well

Micky - Got my sneaking to 100 by hitting the greybeards from behind in high hrothgar. Not that I'm cheap or anything. Although taping a button down is no better. Lol. I did that for a while blocking a wolf, bht that was taking far too long. If you don't have 100 block or armour rating, just put the diffculty on novice and let a giant keep hittinf you.
Sinky - Yes, going to go and start that right now. First chance I've had to play it all week. The horses in general in this game are just completely pants. Too slow! They could have put a motocross bike in it or something.

Nah killed him properly.
I was over encumbered, so used him so I could fast travel to the College of Winterhold. Tried to ride into the courtyard and promptly fell off the walkway. It's a ******* long drop!

I managed a quick game on this again yesterday, not been on in ages. Up to level 20 now lol. Just escaped from some prison with a Forsworn king. Hopefully will get some spare time later for another quick hour on it.
