It's pretty much taken a full Swing now, started on here with me informing everyone of Apple's greatness. The antifanbois couldn't take it when I was right time and time again so started crying, like big girls. 4 years on and all the antifanbois are using Apple's innovations - in cheap Korean clothes - and either telling us all how great Android is or carrying on slagging off the hand that feeds them.
They'll all be using Tablets soon, even after all the insults they threw at Apple when they started that revolution.
Too many people dislike touchscreens for the pads to be anything more than a phase, and in reality keyboards on touchscreens suck compared to a proper keyboard, and are dumb really as they use half the display.
This will ultimately drive a better device, and the question is will Apple innovate then rather than trying to patent an envelope as a symbol for email.

Pads of any guise are not designed to replace a proper keyboard, they are designed to be convenient for casual browsing and other bits which are not particularly intensive. I like mine as I have it lying around the house easily within reach, it's light and convenient, rather than having to wait for my laptop to boot up every time I want to use the net, I can sit on the sofa with pad in hand and it's easy.
They will never be a serious computer for working IMO but they are very convenient and day to day I much prefer this to my laptop for my needs, I doubt they will fade away but it seems there is a space in the market for laptops and pads, as has been said they will probably replace netbooks which in my experience are not particularly good at anything
Apple have lost their visionary and their innovater and thus it will be a downward spiral from now on.
Removed your blinkeredness for a moment and think about what you said, A $380 billion company, Employing 60,400 people that is gaining market share in almost every sector it pursues and your predicting it's demise?
Despite what some may think, one man alone doesn't make a company, Steve Jobs was smart enough to surround himself with some very clever people. Guys like Jonny Ives and Bob Mansfield certainly have that spark.

Have a read of Walter Issacson's biography of Mr Jobs! My comment wasn't to mean that Apple will go under, but rather it will no longer be producing innovative products with Job's obsessive attention to detail, with Apples products, everything is in the detail.

Apple offer a beautiful Bluetooth keyboard that even when coupled with the iPad is smaller than a netbook.
Yes, but try using Apple's keyboard and iPad on your lap!
Why would I use the keyboard and iPad on my lap, I don't work with a Laptop on my lap. And anyhow I can out type the average old man on the iPad's keyboard.
I was aware but for what I need the touch screen keyboard is fine for me and actually better than the keyboards on my NetBook
I tried to type on a netbook and couldn't. The split keyboard on the iPad is great too, reminds me of that silly Nokia phone with the display between the keyboard.
You really are a moron. You're the only person i have ever encountered who acts as if they are having a mature debate about something, to then turn to immature comments for no logical reason

Why ever not ? !
the bluetooth keypad sounds great , i guess thats not included ??
But then you need to prop the screen up somehow so you can see it
This is where that clever device, the hinge , comes in handy

Highly unlikely. What we see is his e-persona flexing his e-***** all over apple. IRL if you went on like that you would be spending most of your time in casualty.
