I'd be FPMSL if it wasn't so sad, normal service resumes for KP 30 seconds after my post.

Flipping internet has been down at work.... don't they know cricket is on??

Disappointing first test, decidedly poor tactics and we weren't good enough. On the other hand Pakistan were up for it and played really well. The bookies back home obviously opted for a win then

As for this test, some desperate OTT appealing in the last hour from Pakistan. The day has been ours but KP has to learn to play spin.

We finish 5 wickets down and still 50 runs short and Bell at the wicket

Far far to many dropped catches yesterday. We have got to tighten up in that respect, only 1 wicket taken by a catch

I am enjoying this series though.

Starting to look interesting. 3 quick wickets in 7 runs.

We should do, easily, but as it's turning into a spinners wicket and is deteriorating we cant under estimate Ajmal.

I am as ardent a fan as the next man. However given some of the snidey comments directed at the Pakistani team from you and your better half (who seems rather conspicuous by his absence), the irony was too delicious to not exploit. Infact it was something to relish You know what they say 'give an idiot enough rope...'

Snidey ?

Nothing snidey in this thread RA, you seem rather prickly, maybe you should join in some of the Cricketing discussions in here, as you may notice, if you've been reading them, that all aspects of the great game and all teams are discussed and we'd welcome some more proper Cricket fans in here

So how long was the piece of rope they gave you ??

Great game? Not sure I would agree with that. It was once great but the image has been sullied by actions of MORE than one country's players. Yes Pakistan have not excatly covered themselves in glory off and on the pitch, but ever since the days of Hansie Cronje you wonder about the integrity of all players.
That said in the 1981 Ashes Dennis Lillee did bet on England to win one of the matches. Who's to say match fixing hasn't been going on for a lot longer than people think.
I do not hoist myself with my own petard, I leave that to others.

Looks that way doesn't it.

I just don't think it's possible to ascertain what has gone wrong for us on this tour. Pakistan have bowled brilliantly there is no denying that. Pleased for the Pakistani fans as they haven't had a lot to cheer about recently and they deserve it.

Frustrated as ever about the "chosen few" keeping their places in the squad

Still love the game and can't wait for April for the new season, bring on another year of Essex mediocrity

I missed all of Saturday, was being treated to hospitality at the Emirates not a bad game to go along to. 2 pints for every goal was a mistake, especially when followed up by a trip to brick lane

It's going to be tense tomorrow

Is that in reference to the Cricket or reference to the 16 pints and the ruby

Oh man what a day. Thought the game started at 3pm. Was still in bed when I got the panicky call saying it started at 1pm. By 10am I was in the pub at Liverpool street knocking back the pints with the taste of toothpaste still in my mouth

West Ham v Milwall was also on so the police presence at the station was reminiscent of the miners strikes

Great game with more beer, a beer after the game, a beer on the way home and a beer in Brick Lane before I met the wife and we went to see Jimmy Carr

The only disappointment was seeing SUFC throw away a 2 goal lead..... still it could have been worse

Going up to see your team at some point to sample the prawn sandwiches

What a disaster

The played like they had no idea and no desire. They HAVE to make some changes. Don't let the 1 day games distract us, get rid of Bell and KP.

How can Monty Panesar get within 2 runs of Bell? HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN!

Passed that onto a mate at work whose a Surrey lad and WK for Sunbury.

I used to go to the Middx match every year with Bmi, always a cracking evening out in their box with a nice curry and free beers
