Did a temp job today on the damage as the bare metal was starting to get some surface rust. Attacked it with a wire brush to remove loose paint and surface rust (tiny amount), and then popped out some of the dent with my hand, the rest I can live with as its behind the light frame (when looking from in the boot), so best left to a pro.
When I bought the car I had a pot of paint from when the car was sprayed, so I brushed over the area with this paint, so atleast its matching and protected from the weather again.

End of the day its to stop rust getting a hold, and masking it till I can get it done.

 

Sorry to say that you will struggle to get someone to do the whole car within that budget, previous experience tells me that with any form of body repairs you get what you pay for and for that budget it will be a minimum work blow over which will end up biting you in the **** as you will never be happy with it.

You have to consider the amount of bits that would need to be removed to do the paint work, i.e wing mirrors, top rails, window trims, door handles which would need door cards removing if this little lot isnt removed your then going to have to worry about over spray around it all.

I once paid £650 to have my arches sorted and both sides of my car painted and that was a big mistake I ended up with broken clips on the window trims and after 6 months the rust was back as the guy had just filled the arches full of filler, I ended up spending the best part of £1800 to have the arches all cut out and rebuilt and then the car fully painted except the roof and the car still looks like the day it was rolled out of the body shop when its fully cleaned.

My advice is to pay for the best job you can first or end up spending double later when your not happy with the first try.

Just my 2p worth but it is based on experience and learning the hard way.

Tbh any paint job is going to be better than the £65 job it currently has, yes thats £65!! And not once but twice, once from blue to yellow, and from yellow to P1 blue.

I know a few people who could do the job for around that price, and I`d remove all glass and trims, and bumpers etc, before going there so be in the car, and I`d get them refitted afterwards, or let the bodyshop fit them. I can do a lot of the bare prep work myself, so removing the majority of the paint there now so when its taken to the body shop its a minimal amount of work to be done, things their trained eye will pick up that mine won`t. I`ve seen a £300 quid job look awesome, its all in the prep work, and if I can spend say 3 weeks of evenings rubbing down and getting ready that should make the job a lot better and easier.

But main thing will be it will all be one colour instead of a multitude, with minimal flat places and little to no orange peel. That will be fine by me.
