Now its £2.60. As a consequence its empty. Nobody is going to pay that much for an 8min walk and to come back to a burgled/vandelised car. The only thing its good for is practicing donuts.

Meanwhile, 'Merry Hell' (the out of town shopping centre) is free to park all day long.
SO by that I take it Merry Hill have not started the pay to park scheme that was on the books a couple of years ago, I remember pricing allot of work for that, although I do think it would have killed shopping there for allot of people.

Can pop in without worrying about having the correct change. (Don't get me started on parking machines not taking cards or giving change!)
i guess 6 months ago would be about right. reducing parking charges and some free parking are a good start.

Nope, it's the same where I'm at too, Second hand shops, Polish shops, charity shops, boarded up shops etc.

What was once quite a good looking town centre a few years back now looks like something more related to some Eastern European place.

They've been saying that for years.

Not that it bothers me much, think I've been three times this year. And that was basically a quick 10min in and out dash....I spend more time waiting at the traffic lights than I do in the mall!
