I had mine done (got a group buy on BUPA believe it or not, saved 50 notes).

No pain, just really embarrasing when the doctors assistant walked in and she's about 20, petite size 8 and blonde...........

Plenty of after-care from the wifey and I was a Jaffa within a week!

 

Thing is, lads, once it's done, NO MORE CONTRACEPTIVES!

So YOU don't have to wear a rubber, or she doesn't have to take pills that could lead to heart attacks or thrombosis in their later lives

 

Just STDs (or worse) for those who aren't married anymore.......

Theres me trying to write details / take pictures etc, with a pot of my finest wedged in my armpit lol

and you only get 30 odd mins to get it to the hospital ......

3 guys have had it done at work recently, not 1 went smoothly with 1 in complete agony for 2 weeks after it

put me off a tiny bit!

 

***** ( briefly ) the size of mangoes and possible lack of libido....I like the idea of free and easy no baby worries but there is a percentage of men who never feel the same afterwards and I reckon that could be me - I'm certainly hypochondriac enough! Possible (albeit weak )link to increased potential of prostate cancer too. Not for me.

I had radiotherapy. Sorted me out fairly painlessly.

I had mine done on the 1st September 2011, so pretty recently.
I must admit I had doubts and was worried about the pain and after suffering many years ago when I was 13 with a twisted tube in one of my nuts, I was thinking that the pain was going to be much worse

But tbh it was no where near as painful as I tought it was going to be Didn't feel a thing while the dr and his young lady assistant was down there. Talked all the way through it (she was rather tasty and what personality) having a bit of a laugh, at my expense of course lol

The pain started a day or two after the snip. Was just like a dull ache tbh, nothing major and a few painkillers seemed to work ok.
Just had my first specimen done and got second and last on the 1st December. Will find out a couple of days after if I am a jaffa or not.

That was hard though, trying to perform cos you have to squirt in a small tub without spilling any of it Got it in the end though lol

And I wont have to buy so many toilet rolls anymore

Oh and I am 40!

 

Over 20 years ago, had it done privately as there was a month 9 month NHS wait and didn't want to wait. At £70 it was a snip

I felt ok immediately afterwards, and decided to walk home: about 20 minutes.

Then ward sister was adamant that I shouldn't, warning that after the anaesthetic wore off, I'd NOT feel like walking, but I didn't take her advice and DID have some bruising as a result...

I WOULD get it done again in the same circumstances.

To those of you who would allow your partner to have heavyweight intrusive surgery, or would rely on contraception to avoid this minor op for yourselves, I say: "Man up!"
