No you dont need to change ecu, I, and all the open source mappers can over write ecutek, if they have paid for the additional software

Either, standard airbox with the de-snorkle and a panel filter, or get a cheap cold induction off ebay, there good enough if you want to hear the turbo flutter/dv.

may need a little tweak on the Map, either way, i know a man that can

Merlin the smaller tyres will make your speedo run under due to being 40% of 205mm opposed to 45% of 225mm .For example when your doing 70 mph on your speedo you will actually be doing 65 mph on the road - which is good for the speed cameras.

You might find that ride might be a bit harsher as the 205's will have less rubber on the sidewall, which is why I opted for the rarer 205/45/17's for my classic.

tbh mate i expected some comments like that. if it was so good they would atrract litteraly thousands of folks on the second year of doing it. its probly a commercial money spinner. We are doing wimbledon and Goodwood this year and now PRESCOT hillclimb with this group and camping with the kids maybankhol AND a narrowboat in Sept , maybe thats enough.
how the new car feel , now that youve hadit a couple of weeks. and the tyres any comments mate??

cars running nicely cheers mate.. actually handles better than my sti with all the "nice" bits underneath
missing the big bhp though if i am honest, but you cant have your cake and eat it i guess. i would like to put it up to 310 ish at some point in the not to distant future, will keep an eye out for a better turbo... vf28 / 30 / 35 maybe.
got to fit the spoiler this week, only looking like rain every day this week, so may not be able to as i need to dril a few extra holes in the boot, not mucking about with all that and lining it up etc etc in the frickin rain.
also looking to get the windows tinted sometime soon...
other that that very happy with it... oh missing my sti seats BIG TIME as well.... sigh.... happy days

By right you should do , to be 100% they are working correctly , but being as your not going to be pushing the 550 cc to there limit you could check with the previous owner when & how long ago they were removed(how long have they been sat around)
For what it's worth I have fitted 3x sets of 440cc to 3 earlier cars with 380 cc injectors and never flow tested any of them and all ran spot on.
