Bmth Meet May 8th or 15th.......
oh MYK, glad you didn't want the bumper then and there, had troubles fitting the bumpers (rear also) in the car,the seats don't fold down and i was squashed to buggery! still not bad prices.
Just thought i would of don a favour of bringing it down from basingstoke.

Yep
flywheel lost 3.2kg (yes thats kg!) all i can say is wow, poss the best £80 i have spent on the thing so far. Its nice to change gear and find that the engine and turbo are still spinning at huge rpm when you engage the next gear, quick is not the word for it!! Oh and the downpipe is just waiting to be fitted so that will be fun

I'll be there on Wednesday.
Duncan: You say "... the engine and turbo are still spinning at ..." - I take it you mean when you apply throttle while the clutch is down (when changing gear) the revs rise more quickly than before?
I went in a car with a lightened flywheel and we tried revving it compared to a standard car and it was quicker, but not a great deal.

Nah what i mean is that the revs don't dive towards 0 when you lift off the throttle to change they just kind of hang where they were (well almost you get the idea!) so when you release the clutch pedal and hit the throttle you are still at lots of rpm instead of having to start again at lowish boost
don't think i pointed it out but the weight taken off is getting close to a third of the starting weight so it makes a rather noticable difference (the ap clutch has to be taken into account as well i guess)
one drawback is the loss of engine braking, but then who cares i got big brakes

goon - saw your beast on the wimborne bypass the other day (i was driving golf vr6 so you wouldn't have noticed) looks v
compared to the other cars in the traffic really stands out

most of us don't bother to reply to the thread just clock the date and venue and turn up!!
If you look at previous months threads they usually just turn into a rambling discussion about my or someone elses car or other general pointless stuff, hardly ever get over 40-50 posts
