I pay about £8 as well. Not a big deal. Family friends have a good salon and they charged £14 for a dry cut about 10 years ago!

Of course some of us more discerning members on SN would actually use a barber that gives a good cut rather than worry about the odd quid saved

Receeding hairline + £10 clippers = win

Round here most barbers charge around £5 for quick trim, but if you're a trendy (by the sounds of it, most NSR members are pretty boys ), you're looking at £10, £15... £30 plus, for a ******* mens haircut

I was paying £5 the last time i had mine done, and that was about 10 years ago

£8 is not so bad for 10 years worth of increases i suppose?

This is hillarious, almost the same as the numtpies who used to come into my car wash and tell me that the immigrants around the corner were rammed and it was cheaper, but where they making any money from it?

I pay 15 quid for a haircut here in Holland which is cheap as chips compared to the 40 quid I used to pay a decade ago when I lived in Switzerland.

8 notes is a steal!

Mrs Leslie cuts mine and does a very professional job of it too.

I pay for her hair appointments.

My local place charges 6.50 and its a proper agents barbers, dirty mags in the waiting area etc. Used to be a good laugh but its always a 1 hr wait. The final straw was one day I wentin and there perhaps 15 people waiting. Nice that they are so busy but they need more hair dressers on busy days. Place I go to now is 7 quid. Guy can't speak any english but he actually does a very good cut and the longest I have waited so far is about five mind.
