Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Will be hard pushed to find any body parts apart from through a Dealer.
Rear suspension similar to the Hatch, but again not many in the breakers so far.

Yes I am struggling, got a saloon bumper, and a few bits of suspension of a hatch back.
Just trying to get the last few bits

Subaru parts are cheap why not buy them from a dealer? If you use 2nd hand stuff especially body panels when you come to sell it will look like a botched up job.

What rear suspension parts are you after pretty sure I got a new set of a hatch spec c which is the same as the saloon.

What's the difference like between the spec c hatch and normal hatch suspension?

Spec C Hatch suspension CAN have the ProR (Blue) lowering springs fitted.

Normal Hatch (pre 2011 model) suspension can't have the BLUE ProR springs fitted BUT can have the Prodrive/Eibach (Black) lowering kit fitted instead.

As I found out last May after a phone call from the dealer to Subaru/IM/ProR

mine...

even though the proR website says they fit 2008-on

Have you gone down the forged pistons route on your car?

Does Ian work at H&S in Basildon ?

Had the car 2 years and still spending

3 year service done this week, car is on 18k,

Also had pro-r springs fitted and geometry set up

Only driven it home from dealers but car feels more direct and planted,

On the lookout for a strut brace and maybe the larger rear wing and another set of alloys

for the summer .

Wish some one had told me the engines where much better on the saloons, this was the reason I sold mine, was all ways at the back of my mind that the engine was going to go POP.... ( was one of the best cars I've had so far )

I think it relates more to the model year than the type of body... the MY11 hatch and saloon have the same engine and so in theory both are as good or bad as each other, depending on your point of view.

There safer, but not cured, only a visit to Alan or David would make them worthy.
Exact reason I sold mine too, spoils the fun knowing every time implant my foot it could go bang, I know in the UK we've had a few saloons go bang now, yanks have loads but crap fuel.

It's sad because the car was bulletproof for 3 years I had it, but I couldn't gamble wigt out of warrenty ring land failure.

The hunt is on for my next car and I'm down to the last 2 new S3 or pimped up M135

It's wrong that this should be the stance of the collective owner's club but you should forge and custom remap the moment the car is out of warranty.

They fcuked up big style continuing to build this engine with its known problems for so long.

It is strange the WRX has the new 2.0 direct injection engine (in US) and they decided to use the older 2.5 engine in the STi.

http://subaru.co.uk/news/subaru-wrx-...for-uk-return/

I don't think it has Recaros though as I imagine it would have been mentioned otherwise.

I'm just about to pull the trigger on an S3 or m135 and this if it was a new 2L may have been an option,

But until we know if it's not the engine made from cheese and they have pulled there finger out in the mpg I won't buy one.

It would be great if it was a new block and 35 mpg and 7 year warrenty I'd have one, seems a bit **** nigh on same stats as the old one.
400s the new 300 in a Subaru world lead by example let the rest follow

Will hold off until the "actual" EU/AUS & JDM specs are released.

Think Subaru UK have just jumped on the bandwagon and quoting US figures etc. to keep people happy that they are bringing it back.

The old WRX STI had 305BHP in the US whereas we got 296BHP (300PS)

Unless Rob can now clarify

Be nice if the 2.5 is now a CDB with some decent pistons. But not a very impressive power and torque. Especially when AMG can get 345bhp from. 2.0l in production.
