MY 2011 Saloon / Hatch, show yourselves! Pics & chat

Did any of you guys struggle to choose between hatch or saloon? Its driving me crazy! Planning on getting one next year, thought I was set on the hatch but keep edging towards the saloon. Practicallity isn't really an issue all comes down to looks.
I don't like the saloon with no spoiler, the big rear wing is a bit too much but I do like it and the small one with roof spoiler looks cool. I think the hatch looks good with the tail light overlays.
Just want to know how you guys made a decision as the saloon seems to be more popluar.

I bought a HATCH (back in Jan 2011.. looked at Saloon as it just came out, but boot wasn't as big as I thought it would be... my old classic had a great boot space.
went for the hatch as it looked good and practical with kids.
also all sporty cars are hatch backs... you don't think of sports cars with boots do you???
:waitsforflamesuittobefitted: lol

I think what I will do is just wait for the right car to come up, I'm looking for as new as possible, as low miles as possbile and in white and preferably standard with 320r map. If it happens to be a hatch or saloon doesn't bother me, like them both so it will all depend on what comes up if there is one of each to the spec I want then it will be harder but think I would sway to the saloon.
Think saloon is more common from 2011+ so will probably be that which is fine.

Went to Santa Pod today.
Bit of a shambles all in all really.
Running started at 11:15 and only on one lane. I went straight back to the queue and waited another hour to get on for the second run. Came straight back again and waited 2 hours to then be told running had been called off for the day.
The highest number I saw on a car was 48, so it wasn't exactly packed. Some people who came late didn't even get runs.
I suppose it makes sense but the slightest spot of drizzle shut the track until they'd dried it out again. Shame really. That being said, that's all guess work because there were no announcements or even anyone walking up telling you why you'd been sat stationary in your car for a couple of hours.
It was a long way to go for 30 seconds to be honest. Or just over a quid a second not counting fuel to get there.
This is the slip I got. I only got given one when I asked so I don't know what happened to the other one. Girl giving out the timing slips seemed thoroughly bored and not much into her work so I didn't query it.
I think I'll stick to circuits from now on.
My car came back intact and running great so that's a plus point I suppose!

Anyone want a leather with red stitching gear gator, had it made for mine and it was taller than I wanted so I had another made, has been test fitted and cut around the top to get over the reverse selector but once fitted looks new, yours for £3 p&p.

Winter boots on.
I hadn't realised how stiff these cars are, but this was when I jacked up the front after doing the rear.
Still waiting for some centre caps from fleabay. The first set I got from China don't fit, surprise surprise...
The wheels only just clear the Brembos. I know these alloys are OE on the hatch, but even so it's close!
This is how it sits, sorry the camera on my HTC has gone crap for some reason.
When I got back from giving it a spin I found the locking wheel nut key still attached to the n/s rear. Very lucky boy!

I've had the car over 6 months now and it was a big change for me coming from a 260bhp NA Civic Type R but I'm coming round to the idea of keeping the STi for a good few years now. I'm starting to gel with it a bit more.
I've been toying with the idea, since the warranty is up in December, of just biting the bullet and forging it so I've not got any of the ringland issues hanging over it.
Is this generally a good idea? I'm a bit clueless as to where to start with it short of handing it over to someone and and taking their word for what's best. What have you lot done along this line?
I think I'd probably either stick a cat back on their as well to remove the centre cat or at least get a centre decat pipe along with a little remap too.

Does anyone know what are the decent road geometry settings on the My11 Saloon?
I had mine measured today while it was in for a service and neither of us had a clue. Same as for the Hawkeye?
Currently it's 0.5 deg toe in and 1.3mm neg camber on the rear and I can't remember the toe on the front but 0.8mm neg camber on the front. All even across the axles though.
Seeing the rear diff oil coming out was an eye opener. Seriously black, much much darker than the gearbox. The car is on 39,600 miles so it was due mind.
