Looking forward to the rest of the HT kit going on and then last job will be to paint the metal look boot trim.
Cheers for that pal. Ht kit will set it off very nicely.

Ha looks like we have similar taste pal. Just finished doing mine this weekend. About to re fit it today.

Will pop some pictures up when it's fitted

And here it is, finally got round to fitting it this afternoon. Last of the small jobs I wanted to get done the rest will be costly so it's time to enjoy the car.

Cheers

Hi, has anyone had any problems with they're cars kicking out grey smoke on start up. I'm not sure if its the type of fault the earlier hatches suffered from so i was wondering if there are any known cases of engine failures on the saloons, mine is a 62 plate with 6000 miles and completely standard. It drives fine just has this smoke on start up, its booked in with my local dealer but not for a couple of weeks so I was gonna have a look to see if it was a something i could sort out before then. It does use oil but only a small amount less than half a litre a month just to make sure it isn't over filled I had the oil level checked by a subaru technician, so if anyone has any advice it would be really appreciated. Cheers.

Blade I had this only on start up a couple of times, when id overfilled, but it was mainly if id been out and been driving hardish, or if before id parked up been hammering the car, so lets say 5 mins before I come home had a last minute bez about,

the dealer said because the boxer engine lays flat a small amount of oil lays in the bores and does burn up thus the smoke.

After the service it didn't do it though which lead me to think horse **** LOL. I did worry a bit like you. ive just got rid of mine though so the stress of failures has gone from my life. Hope its nothing mate im sure it will be fine. mine was cool.

Thanks for the reply it does put my mind at rest a bit. I know checking the oil on a suabru isn't as straight forward as you'd think so i got it checked by a subaru technician just to make sure i hadn't overfilled it, but it was very close to the maximum mark so i'm gonna let it go a bit lower on the dipstick and see if it stops smoking, cheers

As Don says fortunately my car has a built and pinned block by tdr. Had the perrin induction fitted and a map tweak so I don't and haven't noticed any running issues just more power and a delightful induction noise as the air is getting drawn in.

Been thinking of sorting a direct cold air feed to the filter but wondered if it would cause any issues or require a map tweak?

Finally got round to ordering and fitting my new JDM facia, would have been here ages ago had I not ordered the day before the Japanese holidays!!

Looks so much better than the horrid Pioneer filler piece Subaru fit and much better quality than the cheaper versions available in he UK, but at over 4x more expensive it should be!!
