I can imagine, my mate had smiley faces on the bottom of his toes for a dare and he looked like he was in agony. (of course I was there for a supported point and laugh)
weird though as there not there anymore due to it being done years ago and guessing the skin just reproduces itself.

Palms do the same, theres probably a more detailed explanation but I'd think its to do with them being places that get more 'wear' and have a tendency to sweat so the ink doesn't take quite as well. Must've been painful on his toes, I'd have thought theres a high chance of infection during the healing process too!

hard dry skin; ink needs to go in deeper to stay but it still wears off after a while...my elbows have been done a few times as have my Achilles tendon and it just rubs off after a while.
Will get some pics on later but I've got a dolphin on my foot (don't ask) wiggy across the top of my back, Pegasus on my back, Russian writing on my chest (lord protect me from my friends I can handle my enemies & better dead than a slave), dragon down my for arm with uv ink eyes, grime reaper on the back of my for arm and a wierd one my misses drew for me which represents good verse evil
No tattoos but had stitches on the area near the ball of my right foot (someone mentioned foot tars hurting) and it was freaking agony!!!! Was hobbling around for weeks!
Some amazing tattoo work here. Will you miss your God-given arm, though? I would, if I had it all covered with the web of permanent tattoos.
Some designs can beautifully roll on and on forever. It's like rolling out a carpet of artwork on your body. You go back to your tattoo artist, and tell him/her keep going............... The difference is that you can't roll this carpet back, and stick it in the attic when you may like to; one day.
Do they guarantee that the ink can't cause any unpleasant growths or anything?
Les
Modern inks are very body friendly and all tattooists are LA checked to ensure they meet H&S standards for both cleaning and disposal of thier equipment
Elbow, wrist, collar bone and up towards the arm pit are all interesting places
Ive had the other side done now as well but its not finished yet.
I have to say that the art work for this tattoo is superb! Shame about that battered back-cupboard, though. Interesting piece of furniture when you look at it with war-time eyes.
