Should have backed 2-0 3-0 4-0 instead, cant see india getting anything from this series, dominating them as we dominated the Aussies

Hey Tidgy I hope you're taking this all in, as predicted

A bit bored waiting for the 3rd Test so I started an Ashes series on the PS3, after going one down I have won the last 2 tests by over 300 runs

Obviously a little ring rusty after 2 years without playing it, but I've got my mojo back now and I'm giving the Aussies a good old fashioned spanking .

Did you read Warnies comments in the Tele on Tuesday ? kind of how I've been thinking of late but was too scared to say it

In the 7 innings he has had in my Ashes tourney he had 4 ducks and only one score over 10, I'm dropping him for the final test

Bell is one of 3 centurians in the series, although he was dropped a few times on the way there

Call me controversial.........BUT.......do you get the impression wer're heading to the top of the rankings just at the point where the rest of the teams are losing interest?

Are tests suffering at the expense of the huge money available at the IPL? WIndies have given up on tests, Australia suffering and India are showing signs.......

Not at all, Windies haven't cared about Tests for years, Cricket is not the golden goose it used to be for young West Indians growing up, they're more interested in Basketball, Baseball and American "football" because that's where the money is.

I cant see the IPL being around within 5 years, money is down, crowds are down, interest is down, quality of player going there is dowm. The fact that If ITV4 can afford to screen it you have to think the revenue definitely isnt there to sustain it, nor are the viewers.
IND/PAK/SL have always preferred the shorter version of the game but dont think the Indian public aren't taking it seriously, the team is being slaughtered in the Indian media for these results.

And there is no doubt the Saffers and Aussies love their Test Cricket, the T20 tourny down under is similar to ours, one month of the season, you will get bigger crowds for the Test than the one dayers and T20.

Typically the British public have been slagging this ENG team off saying we wouldn't have lived with the 80's WI and 90's/00's Aussie teams, I think that is pretty unfair and we have earned our position from playing well have a great team ethic and a winning mentality never knowing when they're beaten, I can see similarities between ENG and Man U in that respect.

As they say well you can only beat whats put in front of you, just as WI and AUS during their heydays, the afore mentioned teams were freaks of the game lets be fair.
Never will AUS ever field a team of 11 world class players again, as I used to remind them they got lucky having so many good players during that period but when it went pear shaped they were crying, what did they expect ? another 11 world class stars just like that, it was never going to happen.

Irrespective of who's doing what at present we are the best team in the world and have been for a while now and it should be embraced, applauded and most of all enjoyed !

Blimey.... Wednesday..... Test Match..... does not compute...

Anyway, looks like we've got this one wrapped up. Half the Indian team out injured and we've dragged back Ravi to take the glory for the win and get his MBE for being part of the team when we take the #1 rank.

Well I did try and tell anyone who would listen that we would be No1 by the end of the summer, and in reality it was a piece of ****

Can you ask your sister to bring me some family sized bags of Violet Crumble from Woolies

There's no going back to a Crunchie after you have had Violet Crumble believe me

Cookie has more centuries than KP, more 50's than KP and has played less tests #justsaying.

What do you reckon? 700 and declare or go for record and beat our 903-7 record against Australia

World number 1 and an unbeatable innings record.

To be fair I did retract my comments on Cookie during the Ashes

5700 runs at what 26 years old ? if he continues to improve how many at 36 ? Sachin's record could be in jeopardy.

Rain is forecast from from 1900 on Friday through to 0800 Saturday, so I say bat all day if you can and pick them off in the damp conditions Saturday morning with Jimmy, we'll be done and dusted by tea on Saturday

I think you'll find that those 7 runs might prove to be essential by the end of the match
