All done...........

and before you all ask the blue zippie is the official notification that the inverted strut bumpstop has been replaced..............

Now sits about 10mm lower and the ride over our bumpy/potholed local roads seems much improved.

The car is a credit to you Don and is looking awesome!

Are the springs made by Eibach?

Any exterior pics now that they are fitted?

looks nice, had a good look around it at castle coombe, whilst laughing at the kid who was parked on the road next to you after stuffing his white car in the tyres.

Cheers Fivos,

Yes they are,

Not as yet, it's in need of a clean at the mo, although you can't really tell that it's been lowered (10mm)
The new springs are progressive and actually deal with the potholes etc. better than the OEM.

Additional quick piccie as she stands on the drive..........

Hi there

Great mods! Can you explained the process of how you painted your chrome window trims as I really hate mine?

Cheers

Initially tried using matt black vinyl but found that the exposed chrome varies slightly in width, and the rubber is too soft to try to use as a cutting guide.

I lightly roughed up the surface of the plastichrome, masked it all up and used Tamiya primer, flat black and flat clear acrylic spray paint.

It's extremely quick drying and has been very successful so far. Had a couple of areas flake off but have been easily touched up.

You could go the permanent route and fit the window trims from the earlier hatch which are already black. however total cost is about £300

...thanks for taking the time to respond, much appreciated. So I'm guessing this was done on the car as the rear quarter window looks a bugga to remove?

Think I have just started quite a journey into modding my plasma blue to your high standards. Wheels already black and got the gloss black R205 scuttles.

Cheers

Hi Don
Is that the Pro r approved one? If it is I was told it would fit under the passenger seat but that looks too big for that.
Is the sound good?
Cheers

It is, although I purchased it from an independent source

It's Pro-R/Pioneer's stage one sound system upgrade.
http://www.pioneer.eu/uk/newsroom/ne...ner/index.html

No way would it fit under the seat.
Subaru's own subwoofer would...........

http://imdomino.imgroup.co.uk/imggb/...F?Opendocument

So far fitted but waiting on an RCA phono lead to connect up.
Hopefully here tomorrow, so I can finish off.

Cheers Don think it could be another case of someone not knowing what they are selling a bit like when I was told I could have the Alcon brakes in any colour!!
Let me know what you think please when it's sorted

Anyone know how the two will compare as I have a German shepard that I would like to keep to the boot but really want a little more out of the factory system. I already have a touch screen sat nav as fitted to my 330s so was thinking the subaru own sub but matted to an amp and link the speakers to. How do you think that would fair up, Is the oem sub any good and surely hooked up to a decent enough amp it should be ok.

Any thoughts
