thanks - it's still evolving even after 8+ years
They still are
Car not kept in garage plus daily driver and parked on a sloping drive for 2 and a bit years = water laying on specific surface areas = gel coat going milky despite constant care.
Also being an OEM style with fibre glass internal panels some moisture gets trapped hastening the process.
move forward another 2 years and the top surface of the rear wing also suffered some failure of the laquer requiring a strip and respray.

Didn't realise you had a project thread, Don. No surprise that the car (or the thread) is immaculate and full of neat little OEM and aftermarket touches, though. Looks great

Part of the STi Performance package for the 2011 WRX STi as fitted to the WRX tS and S206
https://www.sti.jp/parts/impreza4doo.../ST20118ZR000/
They tie the front cross member to the chassis to improve wheel location when cornering.
The 2011 (model C) already has the ball jointed rear lower wishbone bush to reduce movement. This enhances it further by tying in the front.
Once in place you tension each one to a specific value. (The rear end of each has a rubber compression bush)
Replaces the lower cross member used on the 2008-2010 models.........
although looking at the compression settings it can be used on the earlier A/B variants
There is/was a write up about the complete package but have been unable to find it again. (so far)

I am wondering how different the flexible draw stiffener is compared with the lower flexible bar the 20th anni has, I guess the flexible draw stiffener provides better ride quality.
One more part to add to the list I suppose when funds allow...

Don, although at the STi website the flexible draw stiffener is listed for the 4-door variant, do you know if the R205 uses the same part number? I suppose so.

The early lower bar is to stiffen up the chassis.
The later models, from MY10 onwards, (which includes the R205) have the additional stiffening already built into the chassis.
The flexible stiffeners tighten up the movement of the subframe in relation to the chassis and steering inputs.

@Don Clark I didn't realise you had a project thread! The car looks amazing and I love the subtle touches. This shape is really growing on me and I love the black over black (although I may be biased!), great job mate.
