Got pulled over today.
Not sticking up for the fuzz or anything but here in MK they don't seem to be too bad. - seatbelt sorry they are there for a reason -
Tints - again if it's too dark you may not see something coming.
I had super dark tints on a previous car and found it a nightmare reversing in a dark allyway at night - so removed them before the fuzz asked.
- on a good note I had a Nur Spec R on my old classic with no silencers Extreamly loud - and the cops here loved it.
Down at our local cruise if you drive like a **** they will bust ya. Have any illegals they bust ya. take pride in your car and they respect ya.

obviously its nothing more than an excuse to pull you.
officer have seen you do it .
me i didnt.
too late already pulled over, while your here let me look all over your car to see what i can find as i already know your a fully legal driver with tax mot and insurance.
its far easier to bother legal drivers than the pikeys up the road that steal everything!

I got stopped for driving up a slip road and turning left too carefully. It was 1.30am i saw them sat on the bridge over the motorway, there is no point flying up the sliproad because just off the roundabout the speed limit drops to 30mph.He said he thought i was drunk because i was taking my time.I was in my old vectra they followed me for half a mile whilst they did their checks.I asked him was that the best excuse he could come up with for stopping me and told him to remind his mate in the car that there was a 30mph limit along this road.He said goodnight and let me on my way.So be warned you can get pulled for driving within the speed limits.
Tints are there for police to see in hence have what you like up to the b-piller.nothing heavy past that and very light on the front screen.
Bikes seems to have it easy on silencers...as long as it's not race marked and below a certain db. My vtr1000 growled like hell with standard honda cans and passed its mot every year ok!
Just thought last night, if it was a younger rookie and his mentor, he might still be under the 6 month probation when your not allowed to use police discretion. You must exercise the law to it's extent. Without personal feeling. Remember that bring a real pain!

yes but whats the law on acceleraltion???
i dont have a problem with the police at all i totally agree everyone should have insurance etc.
but that can be checked now without stopping people.

a few years ago on a speed awareness course, one of the instructors you go out with for a drive and accelerated quickly(well as quick as you can go in an ignis or similar) down a country lane. i did ask if this was classed as against the law and he said no as your on an empty road and not driving dangerously!! now im sure a copper would love to pull you over for it.
Its funny how they do it now and its very clever. An older one and a young one out in force. The reason the younger one did you is simple.
The older one is classed as a constable= uphold the peace or Peace officer as they were known.
The younger one will be an officer=tax revenue officer. Feel free to do your research.
Im afraid this is the way it goes.

The seatbelt thing is fair enough. I'm a prat for not having it on...
I'm going to remove the tints today as that is just another blatant law break as is the sun strip. Also going to get a slightly bigger plate made up and see how that goes.
As for the exhaust, well that's staying as it is. I'll take my chances on that one as do many of you guys.

Matty - looks like you've a vindictive plod on your patch, but really no seat belt is askin' for it in a car which attracts attention anyway

yes you were a "very naughty boy" ( said in the voice of brians mum in life of brian) But only for the seatbelt, and maybe just go for a lighter tint on the side windows.
And it's hardly the crime of the century but it's the guys that just really take the p1ss with numberplates and exhausts that spoil it for the rest of us, and i suppose they have to draw the line somewhere.
I would go back to the stick on plate on the bonnet if i were you, i really liked that.
Oh yeh and change those brakes they look awfull.
Then flog them to me really cheap
Some police are total tools, Funnily though i spent 4 hours lastweekend with a gorgeous female officer and her not so gorgeous male counter parts. She was such a good laugh and a bit of a flirt. They spent alot of time going round my car and said nothing at all even when it was spitting 3 foot flames while trying to get it started while waiting for recovery.
Surely there's no such law as defined as "accelerating inappropriately"?!! But I suppose they can class that under "dangerous driving". What utter bollox.
Obviously they were very bored.

Thing is, I don't have a problem if you get pulled you for genuine things as stated in law and the highway code, etc. -- you just have to hold your hands up. It's fair cop, gov, etc., etc.
But when they 'make things up', simply because they 'assume' you're a menace based solely on the perceived image of the car you drive and/or your age - which is, let's be frank, nothing less than outrageous prejudice - then sorry, it gets me riled. Thing is, as said already, I don't even think it's for that reason half the time - I'm certain it's mainly when they're bored and a suitable 'candidate' passes them (but that, in itself, is still prejudice obviously)...

I've been pulled so many times in my 28yrs driving and some of the crap they come out with is quite unbelievable and i have struggled to keep a straight face on many occaisions.
One of the best was when plod asked me if i'd commited any crimes latley and what speed was i doing lol
Kent police are good guys, i have been pulled on a number of occasions and everytime has been to make sure the car is mine and a general bit of banter about who's car would be faster
. I did have one youngster walk round mine and spotted a bald front tyre once, he then looked at me and i just told him 'yeah i know it will be done soon' and that was it (thank god). I dont know if there has been a shake up of the police approach down this end but they are more friendly and more proffessional than they used to be.

The only one that has ever pulled me over just told me to slow down
never had any issues with the cops tbh, think you were just unlucky, though had a crash in the works van (crap tyres and damp road, wasnt even going that quickly), one copper was an idiot and his mate just said ignore him

Isn't the 'Biggus Dickus' scene probably the most funniest scene in cinematic history. What with the soldiers being reduced to tears like children, by his speech impediment, whilst saying said words.

That's it. Smile and placate them (without being sarcastic). Then they're 'on side'.

ive been pulled with one young and one old copper
mostly half decent and the oldies dont think can be fcked with the paperwork and subsequent form filling/report filing ect, and if your not a cheeky t*t them a warning is enough to suffice.
i was pulled for having no insurance in my fiesta- it came back as insured by me after they search on the hq dtatbase, and they just said it wasnt insured on the system they use?
anyway they were polite enough, but no apology, and aseveral warnings of its getting lifted mate, if comes back as uninsured.
