Did you see Bigarf is selling a VF43? At £150 it is worth the punt in my eyes.

Cracking in the wastegate is commonplace on the VF series, up to you though, unless you are buying new you will most probably experience it.

That is some crack and well past hairline.
Depending on the rolling road you can get 330 from a VF24 on yellow injectors ie. 440cc with a full decat and supporting mods. Knock off 15 bhp if you have a CAT. The 440cc injectors may need extending with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator to actually get 330 in the above conditions ie. no CAT. I had 335 bhp and 333 ft.lbs on a VF24 440cc injectors, Fuelab fuel pressure regulator, ported headers, matched uppipe, 3" open neck downpipe and Simtek ECU. Still on the OE top mount. I think the turbo and injectors were at their limit. STi 3 Wagon.
If you want to fit a VF43 it would be wise to fit 550cc injectors and that will save you the cost of an FPR which will then be unnecessary

cant see me reaching 320-330 on my spec with the vf24,so now looking at just changine turbo,i can see the vf43 is probably a wrong move but maybe vf34/35?

I've got a Vf43 on my v5 type r which Duncan mapped and got 345bhp and 344 ft/lb at 1.5 bar on a 2.0 litre.

Mod's are;

440's at around 92% duty@3.5 bar
Fuel lab fpr
walbro
front mount
K&N
gt spec gen 2 headers
Decat
simtek

Well impressed with the vf43 on a 2.0 litre, it isn't that laggy at all and pulls and holds boost all way to the red line. Next will be to see how much the 440's can produce/cope with at 4.0 bar, but i know the turbo's good for around 370 bhp, so 550's will be calling soon i think.

Ps duncan hasn't got a bad word to say about the 43's he loves them

sounds good!
i think im probably just going to keep my vf24 as with all supporting mods could well reach 330 bhp and its pretty quick spooling too..its also in very good condition.
