AVB is trying to show his authority but they're just undermining him constantly, texting and tweeting last night doesn't give the impresion that they give a ****.

I'm here reading, don't worry about that, just not much I can say. Can't believe RA will stick with AVB and his "project" which....if it is to completely **** us up, is going rather nicely

Out of the CL and FA Cup in the next few weeks, and it has to bye bye?

Know what it's like being a Luverpooh fan now, except with no criminal record

Remember when you burn your flag, plastic gives off noxious fumes, so do it in an outside space.

At half time with Newcastle 2-0 and Chelski with only a point I thought that AVB would be going home. How quickly things change.

Steamed the game and SHOCKING.........

I cannot believe how bad we've become.Even thou AVB will get the sack the player's have to take a look at them self.

Ashley Cole couldnt be any worse,Lampards quiet, Ramires isnt involved and Matas giving the ball away,Sturridge is having a shocker, put though 1 on 1 with the keeper and he bottled it.

If they don't want to fight for the Manager - what about the fans? F*ck them.

You need to get rid of the dodgy russian, then and only then can you really look to the future as its not looking good just now

If I were a Chelsea fan?
Should I be an Arsenal fan, happy not winning anything for 7 seasons, but hey at least our manager has been with us for 16 years!?

RA has been there 10/11 years, managers have come and gone, we win something most seasons, so there isn't a problem winning stuff. We were going no where with AVB, he couldn't make proper substitutions to change a game.
The only one that I haven't agreed with was Ancellotti

I agree with this. I mean the players that have ultimately helped get him the sack are the players that any future manager needs to get rid of to make Chelsea competitive again, and it's not as if they're all mid to late 20 year olds who are the future of Chelsea. With the FFPR around the corner I don't see how they can replace these players and meet these new rules

Is Di Matteo going to better between now and the end of the season? It all seems set up for Mourinho to come back in as he is never going to leave Madrid before the end of the season and I would be surprised if he leaves before the end of next to be honest. Why didn't they sack him before Hiddink signed for Anzhi (sp)

Hiddink is a troubleshooter, he goes to clubs or countries and works his magic for a year, maybe two. At Anzhi he is just filling his coffers up while he can, and I don't blame him one bit. He would have been a mug to go to Chelsea, as it will be nigh-on impossible to achieve what Abramovich wants, in the window he wants it done in.

....but that is what Chelsea are after, by installing Di Matteo until the end of the season they must have a plan which is a name that is/might be available come then?(haven't they). Hiddink could have made a decent wedge out of Chelsea. I don't think RA knows what to do but I do think he should have stuck with AVB until the end of this season at least. Unfortunately the players are as much to blame as the manager and the board/RA, and you're stuck with the players until the summer so AVB pays the price. It doesn't matter how good a manager you are, if the players won't play for you then you're doomed. If Mourinho comes in he's got to get rid of the very players that got AVB the sack.

The players must take some of the blame, just as much as AVB, but most of his tactics were odd to say the least

Whatever their plan is, I'm not sure. There always seems to be the Euro manager merry go round at the end of each season, but I do know that whoever comes in will have to achieve results pretty soon AND get rid of the players that are the troublemakers in the club. It will be pretty much impossible to do both at the same time.

Chelsea fans reaction.

What a mess.
I bet certain senior players are happy this afternoon. Do I expect a response from these senior players? Yes.
But for one game - max.
Then normal service will resume, they'll fail to deliver and those who think they're perfect will start to realise that they're past it.

Tells the whole story. Another manager sacked by the players.
We're one of the worst-run football clubs in Europe

The board and Roman have bottled it. Again.

Cartoon club.

Surely JT is the only viable candidate for manager job now, he's about the only person in the world the old guard won't try and depose within 3 months

Would of preferred Mick mcarthy an di Matteo.
We are a joke of a club
No chance will our so called star players respect di Matteo.
This hurts more than any defeat this season
Midtable here we come!

As much as I like Di Matteo, are we really expecting a guy who got sacked by WBA to lead us into champions league?

We are a cancer right now, if I were a football coach I wouldn't touch Chelsea with a barge pole, it might be well paid but if you want a job for a long time forget it.
Merry go round football club, and the people at the top need to take a long hard look at this club right now.

What a complete mess RA and Co have made.He was never the right man for the job because the players were never going to respect him as a coach.

Lampard,Cole and Drogba should be ashamed of themselves.
