The 2011-12 Chelsea thread

Might as well start a new one :)

Welcome back Robbie :thumb:http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13957547.stm

I think you've got a good Manager in Boas and Di Matteo will be a good assistant.

pauld37 29 June 2011 06:41 PM

Time will tell, he'll be good untill RA starts to mess with things again :(

Aaron1978 29 June 2011 06:54 PM

He's tried the so called 'big names', and it has to hit home that he needs to give this guy at least a couple of years to rebuild and make the team his own.

Chelsea will become unmanageable if he doesn't last more than one season. Hiddink is a good manager but he's no better than Ancelotti. RA needs to understand that sometimes you're just not going to be good enough, short of buying the entire Barca team you need a lot of luck and some serious investment. He's just not used to not getting his own way.

As I stated in the other thread, he aint the player he was after his first 2 knee injuries, best start looking for a replacement as this will weaken him even more.

Shame as I liked Essien in his pomp, closest thing I've seen to Roy Keane.

Did hear a rumour that Chelsea are thinking about bring Scott Parker back on a season loan from West Ham to cover for Essien. Not sure about Luka Modric, not that he's a bad player but Chelsea really need 2 good wide midfielders and a right back.

Great stuff.

Have you both been polishing your flags, in readiness of the new season?

A small tip for you both. Remember this season don't have the Shankly gates on your Torres posters OK? :D

 Where are these gates? :wonder: They must be very small, rather like your chances of winning the Premier League

richie001 24 September 2011 05:45 PM

TORRES :cuckoo: Having a good game, scored a good goal but why........

His heads gone. 2 years of injury troubles did his head in. Then he left to join your lot, when working under a former world class striker, Dalglish, could have helped him find his form. And now he's at a team who doesn't play to his strength.

Tragic.

Still we got £50,000,000 out of it. :D

pauld37 24 September 2011 09:13 PM

£35,000,000 player score today?
