Does anyone remember the toys from the 80's? The early ones were really good quality with lots of metal parts.

I had a Megatron which turned into a hand-gun. Friggin awesome!

I think I still have that stored in my parents loft. Was a real challenge to 'transform' that one if I remember rightly.

You can buy 'em on e-ghey but they are like £80 plus.

All the 1st gen toys were well made, then Hasbro went for more cheapo plastic stuff.

Watched it today, fairly much popcorn fodder....good spectacle.

The fact that Bumblebee is now a stupid nu-mustang and not a Beetle, kind of spoils it for me. I loved the comics in the 80's.
Bumble bee is a Camaro not a Mustang now. . I can still remember the day my son saw a black and yellow mustang go past and he got all exited shouting bumble bee at it then asked why it diddn't change into a robot. He was four though so I forgave him for not being able to tell the difference between a mustang and a camaro.

As much as I love Transformers (I collect them) and we are watching it tomorrow night, I f*cking hate Michael Bay.

My hatred for him as grown two fold having seen this.

Lazy swine. I can only look forward to the TF reboot with someone other than Bay at the helm.

Absoloutely

She's got a fantastic body and I'd happily knock lumps out of her.

Sadly, I didn't like it. I found the english bird tedious. The fight scenes a bit useless and the story itself a bit sh1te.

We can only hope that this is the last time Michael Bay is allowed to direct a TF film.

Saw it last week when on me hols.

It was utter utter cr@p, and I liked the first two

The FX geeks sat down and came up with a load of set pieces that didn't fit together and Bay must've said "Right we'll film them, add in a few annoying slo mo shots, a few shots of the birds **** and that'll be the film, who cares about a storyline

I spent most of the movie hoping Megatron would kill the annoying English actress and then what's his name who starred in the film

And to think I couldv'e watched the Senna film instead...ggrrrr

Has there been a good review of this film? Yet grown adults are still going!

....and some even like it!

I did think it was rather lingering for a kids movie. I mean he practically groped her with the camera.

SPOILER

I did like Leonard Nimmoy voicing Sentinal Prime - he voiced Galvatron in the cartoon movie. He also uses a similar line "Needs of the many" etc to The Wrath of Kahn - AND - Bumblebee says "friend" which was also from Wrath of Kahn.

The wreckers were underused, the dreadlock TFs looked like machanical predators and again faily underused. Shockwave was pointless and massively underused. Soundwave being a car was also not acceptable. Ironhide should have been mourned and WTF was Megatron doing just sat on his *** during the final battle? He looked like a tramp - it's the second time he's made Megs look like a fool. He was The Fallens "bitch" and then Sentinals "bitch". He's supposed to be a psychopath.

Been to see the film today. Enjoyed it.

Loved seeing one of the Transformers as a Ferrari 458. Looked fantastic.

Just back from seeing it and same thoughts as Eddscott really. No cohesion to it just a mix of scenes. New bird was rubbish and weird looking lips. Megatron was half dead but suddenly finds the power to destroy sentinel prime in less than 5 secs. Same with optimus, one minute he is back complete with flying kit then he's out of the action for ages caught up in a few ropes.

Did anyone notice when sentinel first betrayed them and had prime on the floor that primes voice was a lot higher and really out if place?

I didn't think the 3D was that much cop really. For large sections I actually forget it was in 3d.
