Considering bugeye STIs are about £6K and Hawks seem to be dropping to around £8K, would it not be better to save a wee while longer and get the later model.

+1 on TS.

I had the fortune of driving API Dave's old Blue JDM Blob with a Owens Developments fettled VF37, producing 394/396 (or something like that). The spoolup is fantastic!! - almost zero lag, just instant grunt. They say the TS/AVCS combo is good for around c.1000rpm earlier spool compared to a SS/non-AVCS setup (everything else being equal). And I can easily... easily believe that. The car felt so hyper and alive - I loved it!

8k for sure wont get you a JDM hawk. Most probably a 2.5 UK hawk.

NAH !, a SC46 on a 2.0 twin scroll billet is a 430 hp [ genuine ] car, all day long, any more hp is luck and could not be guaranteed.

Kev at t'Clinic will confirm.

PS Don't even dream that a UK bug in standard form is anywhere near as good as a twin scroll JDM. Apart from all the 'extras' that you get on a JDM car - xenon lights [ road legal too ] dccd, better suspension, better dials, rear wash wipe, etc., etc. The delivery of power is so much better on the JDM cars. It makes a UK car look particularly weak.

The only downside, if you want to call it, that is the low final drive. I have often absent mindedly gone to change into 7th in mine. But with the higher gearing the UK cars cruise more economically, but feel lardy just about everywhere else. Standard car comparison don't forget.

hawkeye uk models to me are not worth the tax money when you can have it in a blobeye when it,s money spent elsewhere on that saving alone,

Correct me if i am wrong but arent the UK sti hawks 2.5l? If so you're going into another league here. Power delivery is very different.

Correct they are all 2.5`s, More of a torquey engine but wouldn`t have a UK 2.5 personally, Not the most reliable of motors in standard form
