My 08 Type UK STi Hatch
I didn't spray them, had them painted gloss black by a body shop. The 'moustache' is holding up well, but the paint on the fog surrounds has developed some small cracks. Not very noticeable, but there nonetheless. If you want a matte look, then I can recommend Plastidip. Best part about that stuff is you can peel it right off and reapply if it goes crappy.

I assume Stevie is referring to the grille moustache and fog surrounds from the CS400. Those bits came gloss black from the factory, so you could probably order them from a dealer.
Yep that's what I'm on about. Not sure untill I go have a look at the vs400 local to me (bonus its in silver) and see what the gloss black looks like. Think the fog surrounds will be fine but I'm not sure for the grill wing thing. Maybe a satin black as it should be high enough not to get to stoned chipped or carbon wrap as I've some of that too.
Birthday today so I thought I'd treat myself...

Just need to wait for a few bits to come (JDM double din fascia and the cables to keep the steering wheel controls) and I'll get it fitted.
Bilsteins go on Friday as well. Buzzing!

Couple of updates:
New horns (**** pic, I know):

After a full clean and wax:

Bilsteins fitted:

This was my courtesy car from Litchfields whilst they fitted the Billys:

Apparently the only one of these in Europe! For a good reason, I might add.
Also, they had 20 GTRs whilst I was there. 20! Couple of pics:

The JDM AV panel should be here tomorrow. Will post up pics when I've got that sorted. The alcantara interior bits are going to be a bit longer as the company I bought them from not only sent me the wrong bits to start, but they've now run out of material and are having a "pause in production" for two weeks. Quality product, but not the best of customer service.
Additionally, ordered a set of red on black Rally Armor mudflaps and a pair of the black R205 side badges today. Should ship sometime this week from RallySportDirect in the US.
Thoughts?

When I said R205 badges, I meant these...

Should have been more specific.... Side 'ornaments'.

A mate and I had a bit of a jolly out in our cars today. Left the Midlands, headed through Shrewsbury into Wales, up to Llangollen and finally onto the Evo Triangle. Some epic roads up there. Absolutely immense. Wholly recommended! On the way back we stopped by Llangollen Auto Museum, which I cannot recommend to the same degree (a pretty drab affair and more for the bikers I think). Couple of iPhone pics below and there are some decent SLR shots on their way, along with some video once my mate shifts his **** into gear and edits them....

Pretty evenly matched to be honest! We figured out our power to weight ratios before we went and I was 1bhp up on him. We stayed with each other throughout, even in the corners. At the stated speed limit I hasten to add!
New shift and handbrake boots by RedLineGoods. Quality is pretty good and the instructions on the website are bang on for fitting them. Did these myself. Am currently waiting for the steering wheel wrap and then I'll get them installed professionally along with the guage cover.

What I'd also attempted to do but failed (over-estimating my electrical abilities) was fit the Hella Supertones. I underestimated the electrical modification and parts required to complete the job.
Will attempt to fit them at a later date when I'm more prepared (or more likely pay someone to do it
).Have you got a bracket to fit the supertones? I went for one as they are a much easier thing to fit with this bracket:
Subimods custom made harness and bracket to hold the Supertones in place:

i had to hammer the bottom of either side of bracket at the curved section level to the start of the SM logo so that the bracket would sit flush against the bulkhead underneath the bonnet latch

Here's the HST's fitted in place:

Connection to the battery:

I would suggest giving them a coat of clear laquer as the paint faded and went milky after 2 years.
Looks really nice! How do you rate the BC coilovers on it? We have Litchfield coilovers on ours but don't really rate them to be honest and thinking about getting some BC's as thats what are on the UK300
Mate, if you look further up on this page, you'll see that I got rid of the BCs as they developed a knock on both front sides after only 13 months. I've replaced them with a set of Bilsteins which are superior in every capacity. The BCs (before they were knackered) had a very firm ride. The Billys are more compliant and improve on the overall handling and ride. In addition, the Billys are rebuildable whereas the BCs are not. Just my 2p worth!
No idea. They were already on the car. We did have a look on the Litchfield website and find the ones we think it has on it but I can't remember off the top of my head now. One of the **** things about buying a car that has already had stuff done to it eh!!
If they were fitted by Litchfields, they would most likely be ASTs. Best thing you could do is call them and ask them to dig out the invoice. If the car had the same reg number, it shouldn't be a problem.
this is what is putting me off going for coil overs as i hear far too many stories off them starting to knock and at 2k plus in my opinion this shouldn't happen hence my thought for sticking with just uprated springs and bush kits
