Don't think there has ever been a thread on ICE ,installs etc

We are still having a car boot, hifi ,install at the NBO againthis year

It is still very popular and we still get 20 competitors doing it and the crowd actually love it

Me I just have a basic ken wood in the classic and the WRXD is standard equipment and to be honest I very rarely switch them on at all

Poor photos but this is the system I had in my old hawkeye, full Alpine system, sub firing through the ski hatch, all doors and boot dynamatted. Installed by Autoaudio, who failed by installing the sub free-air when it should have been enclosed. Still it looked great, and sounded good. Wish I'd taken more pics before I got rid of it

Amazing thread dude . got 2 questions though:
  1. where did u get the sound proofing material from?
  2. Does it matter how thick the MDF is to effect the sound of the bass ?

Sound proofing from any car audio shop ask for it as it might not be on display
You need a box or enclosure design that matches your speaker.
This is vital to produce the correct working conditions for the sub
It does not need to be made of wood,

mine is listed above but now with pics.

Amp is bolted to back of sub box so we didnt have to drill holes in the car.

the door speakers Infinty kappa 52.9 I didnt take a picture before fitting in the car, we used the corsa 3 adapters from halfords to fit them by drilling the plastic in the adapters to get a perfect fit for the screws. £1.60 1/2 metre bungee cord from amazon stops the sub from moving but as you can see I brought the wrong colour installation took about 5 hours.

If you go into the project wip section look for impreza r sport something different and the pics are there if not I'll get one uploaded on here.
I was gonna get better audio before I had this install done but due to me being stupid and taking it some where and spending over a grand on some ****ty install I had to cut back so couldn't afford better amps when having the boot done again. I'm gonna stick with the audio iv got for now and when iv finished the outside I'll then look at getting better quality amps :-)
