Took my dump valve off last weekend and fitted the standard recirc and to be honest the car does run a lot better. Many of the anti-dump valve crew dislike them for this reason, and they're right.

you ruined an impreza, i think even you know it looks s***.
you dont care what people think so why post it on scoobynet knowing most people will hate it.
the tragic thing is it looks a good car before you got hold of it.
i like the classics and would have another if i ever found a nice clean example, unfortunately the older they get the cheaper they get.
then the cheaper they get the more get into the chav brigades hands.
lexus lights no no no no no no and more no!!!
do the car a favour restore it to its original state, sell it to an owner who has some taste, spend the money on a saxo or a corsa and buy all the lexus lights big bore exhausts and halfords tuning products you like.
you can buy and modify classics quite tastefully and cheaply now just look at the members gallery for some very nice clean and well modded examples.
i know the next few threads people will say its your car and do what you like to it, yes thats true but most scoobynet owners if honest would say your car looks s*** and you have probably managed to half the price of it so well done.
i also have two young girls 3 and 4 and i understand you are obviously a good father, so do what i do take them nice places, paint there room pink buy them toys but please leave that poor car alone!!!

p.s. i think there is a two for one offer on neon headlight washers on in halfrauds today.

I love seeing how people like their cars to look.
We ought to recognise that regardless of indivual tastes we make driving the roads more interesting when quirky and unusual cars go by.
I tire of seeing endless BMW, Audis fords etc in their thoasands all lokking the same.
Most of these drivers treat their cars like their fridge or washing machine.
There to do a job.
What a boring bloody world it would be if we all liked the same thing.
I love seeing cars that look like their owners have invested time in them and treat them as cars and not the Hotpoint dishwasher that many are slowly becoming.
How soon would we tire if we all drove Imprezas that look Identical?

Thats what i love about them they are all so different . Its what makes them interesting a perfectly standard car catches my eye just as much as an all out there car. Love em all in there own way. My car is not everyones taste i dont expect it to be but its my car and i love it :-) .
We all here because we all love the bare bones of the car what some one has added or not dosnt matter we a big scooby family.

See the thing is i dont care if it worth nothing after a few yrs 
, and i can sell the performance stuff for a couple off grand and then that's my money back, scrap the car and start again

Right.... here we go if your comments AREN'T aimed at me then ignore pretty much all of this.
1. How did I ruin an Impreza? my car came with all the parts fitted, i just can't afford to change them yet. The stars are a 30min fix to remove. HARDLY RUINED.
2. The lights can be put back to standard, but they will leak, and the standard ones don't have a fog light on the LEFT side, which i need before being in Germany, again, i didn't fit the Lexus lights, they CAME with the car.
3. It was a good looking car and still is, and it doesn't look like every other Impreza on this site.
4. I believe that people on here are as honest as they wanna be.
5. I'll do anything for my little girl (within reason) putting stars in the car is defo within reason.
6. I've had a Saxo, didn't fit a big bore exhaust or lexus lights - thats what everyone was doing at the time, i did it DIFFERENT AGAIN.
7. Yeah i've heard of Barry Boys, they some useless c*nts on that site. They slated a STANDARD Astra Coupe 888. IMO they have no use for an opinion and if my car does end up on there for some reason, it won't be due to me posting it up.
8. I've not lowered the value of my car at all. Its a 11year old car, its not worth that much anyway. Its an IMPREZA not a f**king Ferrari.
9. I don't shop in Halfords.
10. I wasn't even driving in the Mid 90's, mine is polished and cherished, and not the same.

I'm the same mate, i like seeing indivdual tastes, i may not like what i see, but i like the time and effort and thought that has gone into it.
Those to WILL FOLLOW what is to be expected of an Impreza Owner
Those who WILL push every possible limit of the car.
And Those who WILL do their own thing.
This of course is just what i think of only being on here for 5 months or so. Weather you fall in to one of these groups or not, it isn't a bad thing.

there are some really nice cars that started as bog standard imprezas and have been modded with time effort and good taste.
as an example i never understand why people buy wrxs and spend £££ making it look and go like an sti.
when i suspect the real reason thay brought a wrx is they cant afford an sti but want everyone to think they have one, nothing wrong with that but just admit it.
i had a wrx it was great so before wrx owners start on me! i dont hate them they are good cars!
my final say is if you dont care what people think why post pics of it then try and defend it saying i like it???

by the way your intercooler cover looks very nice, thats a mod on your car that looks good!!

Instead they (like me) post the pictures to share something with others that they enjoy. Its not so much as needing attention from others its more about informing them that this is what they have done to modify there car.
As we all like Impreza's I see posting pics as simply a way of sharing knowledge about our Marque.
There's always be those who dont like our preferences but I tend to ignore them as we all have differences.
If I see something I don't like I tend to say nothing because criticising isn't helpful. I let the poster enjoy the experience of putting pics of their car up.

which is more than some people are willing to do on here!nope don't care what think, i just like sharing what i've done with my car, its nice to get feedback, weather its good or bad. i've got the standard lights in the boot, i need to mod them.

i act like a big kid in mine, and its green! i'm not ashamed to admit i drive like a total loser, but when your along side a little chav in his 1.2 corsa, letting the dump valve dump, subtly lets him know not to mess!!!!
