I thought that, too.

Then I Googled whether it was to do with some Royal tradition, but I found some silly answers like "she didn't feel like it haha, he struggled to put a ring on her finger ha ha".

I don't think anyone here knows either.

I think the thing that freaks me out is that she walked into the Abbey a 'commoner' and walked out a Princess, and future Queen. It really is a fairtytale Wedding.

Mind you, I REALLY REALLY hope her Dad had his funny hat on when she said she was marrying him... Father's first question: "Well, what are his prospects?"

It usually is a bit of a fight to get a properly fitting ring past the knuckle.

I know.

But what about Kate not giving William a ring? Do you know the reason, Les?

Okay I'm gonna admit it. The whole day had me shed a tear... or eight. (Gaaay.)

But just to 'prove' that I am indeed a 'man'.... Please let me loose on Pippa now!!! What I wouldn't do to that (perfect) ***...

She's a doppelganger (head-wise lol) of the equally delectable Suzanna Reid!

I read somewhere that he said he would not be wearing a ring, after he married. Some men chose not to

Oh, ok.
Scientifically, it may come in a way when he is on his rescue mission etc. or else.

However, it puts my mind to rest for now.

Rebellious Scots to crush

Nothing like a national anthem that finishes with crushing the scotts
We consider those with zero command of the English language to be no threat whatsover. To be fair our own anthem is a tad antagonistic.

This a day for national unity.

Congrats to the happy couple. Hope they enjoyed their education at St Andrews.

Aye ATJ.....

Not in this land alone
But be God's mercies known
From shore to shore
Lord make the nations see
That men should brothers be
And form one family
The wide world over

Gid quote DCI. Yi made a wee typo, which 'ave corrected for yi.

Anyway, Kate looking quite stunning (should we head down the alter Aussie Ms Jock wants a similar dress, lol!). They do seem genuinely happy together.

Always enjoy seeing the Hurricane, Spitfire and Lanc.

Was indeed a day to be proud to be British. Interested to hear historian Simon Scharma historian describing this as being a day where the monarchy joined with the people (a reference the a Royal marrying a "commoner", a good thing in my book!).

She walked out married to a prince, but she's not a princess, she's now the duchess of Cambridge.

And long may there happiness together last

Somehow Duchess just isn't as sexy sounding as Princess

Apart from when Mike Reid used to say 'Allo princess' when it sounded quite creepy

Anyone know why she bows her head when he salutes?

I did wonder if she thought she was going to get a smack, or maybe he was controlling her like a puppet?

Gosh, you must be old, or a lush at a young age. I waited until I was at least 14 to spew up on the kitchen floor after a "parent's drink cabinet" cocktail That was in 1986
