Alcohol issues

Well that was the impression you gave at the beginning. You did ask us for our opinions and you said you were drinking that much wine. I was trying to be helpful.
Maybe it is down to the last line of my previous post then. I have known people who are forced to avoid alcohol because it has a bad effect on them.
Your doctor should find out anyway.

Thanks for taking the time to post your thoughts though, appreciated.

Ok, just wondered if anyone else has experienced this with alcohol.
On a few occasions after drinking I would say more than a bottle of wine the next day I have woken up and my whole body feels bruised. To the point where I can't even sit down as it hurts too much. Like someone has beaten me up!
I have tried to get a pattern with it. If I drink bitter its worse and if I have wine and spirits its bad too.
This has been in the last 12 months, never experiened before.
Haven 't been to the doctors yet has not ill as such am sure they have enough to deal with.
Any experiences welcome.

My late white, British father-inlaw drank 2-3 shots of whiskey every night after a hard day of work. He got himself gout for that in his mid forties. Doctor branded him as an alcoholic for his regular intake. By the time my father-inlaw was 50, he couldn't walk from the pillar to post without a stick.
I know someone who goes mental after 2 cans of Stella. I know someone whose fingers swell up after 2 pint of Guiness. I know someone who manifests retarded behaviours after a little vodka intake. All these idiots repond better to other than these reactionary drinks in question for them. So, different strokes for different folks. I'd suggest you to give up wine, bitter and hard drinks. You may prefer reducing their intake at least, and see what happens. I understand that you are not an alcoholic. I have a friend who gave up strawberries for her intolerance for them. She wasn't a strawberr-ic either.
All the best, Lou. Hope you get it sorted at the doctor's.

In term of experiences, ocasional wine intake makes my joints feel funny. I only have to take two swigs, and I start to get strange sensation in my joints. Obviously, alcohol isn't my Asian type and/or vice versa. I don't know what beer and hard drinks would do to me, as I don't bother with them. Saying that, I bothered with some gin in a party about 3 years ago. I never felt so depressed in my life the next day! I will never touch that horrid drink again.

Saturday morning, I felt as if someone had kicked me in the butt. Honest.
I am blaming you for putting the thoughts into my mind
Seriously though, I did have a bit of a hangover but I did feel similar to what you have described. Nowhere near as bad, but not felt like that before.

Now then, I had copious amounts of wine on Friday night, drinking with my pals and gossiping.
Saturday morning, I felt as if someone had kicked me in the butt. Honest.

Sorry Lee missed your reply somehow.
Well I had a few cans of Speckled Hen last weekend and was really bad with the aches the next day so definitely worse on bitter.
What does bitter contain a lot of?
Has it happened again since Lee?

Firstly you should stop drinking alcohol now, go and see the doctor.
I had a similar problem that after a heavy drinking session my body would ache. I gave up drinking alcohol for 6 months, all my aches and pains went away. I do occasionally drink, but not much at all, but after 6 months of not drinking I don't find I need to drink even when out with friends who are drinking.

Lou face it your a smash head.
You think your not drinking too much because your memory does not recall the monumental amount of the booze you have consumed. You drink less than your friends because you forget that they are smashed asleep, and your still pounding it alone, sometimes in tears, but you cant stop......you.....you just LOVE it. That filthy booze cursing your lips as you dream of things gone by, your being dirty, but clean.....the booze controlling your every move; dreaming of a life less ordinary; you smash it, hard....all night long.......until finally, its over and all that remains are aches and pains to prove your alive.....yet agin we will walk that dusty track, until the next time my love, my booze, my friend
You are a SOAK. If you have a bright RED nose this is true. I'm sure you will let me know when your sober enough to see the end of you nose.....now smile and stop worrying! x
